We only discovered Miz Hattie by chance, as it is somewhat hidden in a row of shops. But that's how it is with real treasures! Everyone is very nice and friendly and the food is amazing! You absolutely have to try the garlic/jalapenio sauce. You can tell that everything is made with love! Unfortunately there is no branch here in Germany. :(

Located inside the Hudson Valley Food Hall, Miz Hattie's Southern BBQ is a shining star. I enjoyed all of the food I ordered including the Grilled Cheese with Pulled Pork and Mac and Cheese. I wanted to have the Grilled Cheese with Brisket, but the brisket wasn't ready when I visited. The sandwich tasted good, but the cheese to pulled pork was off. It tasted more like a pulled pork sandwich with cheese.The accompanying fries and cole slaw were tasty. The Mac and Cheese was the closest thing to homemade I ever tasted while dining out. I was surprised by the mixed pasta (elbow macaroni and bow tie) but I was not disappointed. I plan on returning when I can try more items on the menu. Miz Hattie graciously served our order and even let us try her special Jalapeño Pickle Relish. As with other restaurants within the Hudson Valley Food Hall, there was plenty of seating, moderate noise and street parking.

My tray says more than I ever could… not a morsel left, I had the new grilled cheese sandwich and the Mac and Cheese.A gentle brown crisp toast to the Texas toast, perfect melt to the cheese, with tender meat and crunchy coleslaw. The perfect level of spicy sweet savory and acid.I said it while I was waiting for my sandwich “take your time quality takes time” and it is most definitely worth the wait.Best comfort food meal I have had in a long time!Xavier is an artist!

The Hudson valley food hall is so cool and had a lot of options. We went for Miz Hattie's. They had an amazing pulled pork & corn bread. The gentlemen who helped us out was so kind whilst trying to make an order of 30 fried chicken for another group. Impressive!

We hosted our wedding weekend welcome party at Happy Valley Arcade Bar (right next door) and brought in Miz Hatties for our catering. We are thrilled with our decision! People are still saying the fried chicken was one of the best things they ate all weekend. The staff was delightful to work with, and they were so helpful with the timing of our event. They brought over the food in a couple different waves during our event, and it was such a huge help. We had trays of fried chicken, special sauces, and corn bread for over 100 people and it was all truly wonderful. We are so appreciative at the quality of food and service we were given, thank you!!

It takes 45 minutes for any order. Below average BBQ altogether. Definitely not worth a 45 minute wait. The beans were runny. The corn bread was stale. The brisket was dry. A long wait for disappointing meal. At $20 plate it's really not worth while. Get the pasta or the Nicaragua food.

While the prices here may seem like too much at first, the quality and quantity of food makes up for it. They have really great cornbread, soft and kind of sweet but not really. The Mac and cheese was literally dripping with oil so if that’s your thing go for it! Super savory warm gooey cheese and the pasta help up pretty well. Great service and comfort food overall.
