I wish I could have given the service ten stars. Shari was perfect and so pleasant! Delicious food, we had the salmon and the halibut after a wonderful roasted cauliflower bisque. We come in from NJ for the Inn park and zoo but now will be coming for the food as well. Also enjoyed the afternoon tea with another wonderful experience with Shari as our server. Looking forward to going back. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is very rustic and charming. There are ample food selections, but pricing seemed a bit high. Service was not great; the restaurant was NOT busy, most tables were empty; server never checked back to see how food was, did not offer to refill drinks, had to wait a long time for the check to arrive so we ended up paying online using the restaurant's QR code. Food was ok, salmon was unevenly cooked; middle section was very undercooked. Overally, it was just ok. We do not plan to return to the restaurant.

Went for my birthday dinner with my husband...thinking it would be romantic and beautiful. I was wrong. Large room...family with 2 young boys running around very noisily while the parents just sat there. The manager did not stop it. Only one waitress (other person didn't show). The food was terrible..I will never go back.

I went to 1915 for dinner on a Sunday night, then came back for high tea on Wednesday afternoon. The wait staff is as nice as can be. The atmosphere is just decent, could use some updating and the dinner was pretty good, but the high tea was absolutely great. We had such a good time and it was done so tastefully. I would definitely return for high tea.

On the day of the eclipse, my mom and I had the Tea service at Bear Mountain Inn. The Tea service was wonderful! The floral china was perfectly themed for a lovely afternoon tea. The tiered stand was filled with delicious sandwiches, scones and cookies which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our host accommodated my request for window seating. (After a very dark rainy week, I desperately needed to see sunlight.) I highly recommend coming to Restaurant 1915.

The venue and all servers were outstanding but the foods in the buffet line were cold. We were at the 10a seating. The eggs were very cold and the other hot dishes were just warm. The omelets and carving were also warm. We did however have a great family gathering.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea. We happened upon an off season midweek day when it was easy to get a reservation and the dining room was quiet. The tea is beautifully setup in a wonderful historic setting. The food and service all were very good.

Brunch was not as extensive as it used to be but food was still as delicious and satisfying. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we were ok with gluten free options and pasty chef even created a special GF pistachio crusted cheesecake that was so delicious! Thank you!

The ambiance of Restaurant 1915 is amazing being located right between the base of Bear Mtn and Hessian Lake, giving spectacular views while dining. Seating and service was excellent. We did the afternoon tea service. Everything was beautifully plated and our waiter Josh took the time to explain the teas and food selections with great detail, he was great. The presentation WOW! The only complaint was the food itself was terrible. Sandwiches were dry, stale and tasteless. The pastries and scones were a little better but only because we were given pots of butter and jellies to smother them. Tea was pleasant. We had a good time as the company and surroundings made up for the food. Also the advertised price upon reservation was 28 per person which was then presented as 33 per person once we arrived.

The brunch is served in a lovely location; cozy, iconic with beautiful views and a magnificent fireplace. The food selection is not what it used to be, but we're hopeful it will improve. I think it's presumptuous to serve sliced meats in gravy, instead of offering different sauces, condiments etc. The shrimp were a little salty. The desserts used to be more varied and in little sizes so you could try them. The wait staff were very friendly and professional. The room had a few loud running children, but there were only a few brunchers left at that point. We are really cheering for them to pick it up a bit so the brunch goes back to what it once was. They could also comp diners for the $10 parking fee. As it stands, it's not a brunch I would book again.

Nice rustic setting. Kind of the only show in town due to the rustic location and few nearby options. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and was abrupt, too. We also didn't know there were “specials” until after we ordered and we heard those described to adjacent diners. The food was ok, not bad. Emphasis seemed to be on steaks or beef but other options were available. The restaurant policies are a bit rigid: they clearly state you have a 5 minute grace period (5 minutes!) or they may cancel the reservation, and the charge for that (or no-show) is $25per person if 2 diners. Of note, the place was 2/3 empty but they couldn't seat us earlier, presumably a personnel issue. In sum, the setting is the reason you're there, and the food isn't bad. I'd recommend it if you stay at Bear Mtn Inn or Lodge.

We came here for our Wedding night. The restaurant was not ready to handle the traffic of a holiday night. The waitress was trying. The manager was excellent. The taste of the food was fantastic!

The food was typical brunch food, nothing special. The service was spotty, wait staff seemed to bring original drinks but after that you needed to get their attention to ask. The room was lovely but the area we sat in was very cold. They did bring us a space heater but it didn't work.

Had reservations and got seated right away for the Sunday Brunch, but the table was not set. Had to seek out and ask the waitress for water and coffee, was never asked about any other drinks. No salt or pepper on the table. At no time did the wait staff come around to refresh water or coffee or ask about the meal. Had to again seek out the waitress to bring the bill. When the bill came they had automatically added an 18% gratuity! It was only my spouse and I, and it was a self-serve brunch. Bear Mountain Inn restaurant staff is in serious need of training. I could not have been more disappointed. The best part of the meal was getting out of there. My recommendation is save your money and go to an IHOP or McD's. You'll be much happier and save $125.
