No way these 5 star reviews are true food was so bad and not cheap. I LOVE food don't mind paying top dollar I am not cheap when it comes to good food. I'm reading all the reviews and feel like they're either fake or I'm on another planet. I was never so disappointed in my catering order of over 1000.00 dollars in my life. The food was uneatable and I'm not lying. Please before you go spend your hard earned money message me I will gladly talk to you I felt robbed small amounts of food tasted terrible threw out almost all of it and I'm not a wealthy person at all.. I felt ripped off...I truly thought I'd get pretty good home made soul food and I truly got pans of food that I literally could not eat . If your thinking of catering try small plates first before doing a big order like I did the pictures on the web look nothing like what I got . I know I said this in my last review but I threw out the whole pan of Mac and cheese it tasted like straight up cream cheese if you can screw up a Mac and cheese it's bad ...I had to rewrite this cause there is no way on earth that all the 5 stars are true unless only my stuff got messed up . I was so so do pissed that I literally just threw a grand in the garbage by trusting this place to cater my holiday .

Our complex used Chara's Kitchen to cater our Labor Day BBQ and it was great!!! Very professional and the food was incredibly delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with all the great food. Would highly recommend them.

Just had this tonight. We had the shrimp, chicken and waffles, and mac and cheese. Great food! Looking forward to ordering again; we're going to try the yams and grits next. The only thing I don't understand is why we couldn't order via door dash, because we're only about a mile or so away. Hopefully the issue is fixed soon.

I'm very sorry to do this because I am a young black man and I understand the importance of black business. I have tried to support this business so thoroughly. I've ordered from here on 4 occasions and there's always a mishap. My very last one I ordered food and was told 25 minutes until my order was ready. I arrived about an hour after I called due to traffic, as i arrived they said that's the young man who called for the fish and asked me to wait an additional 15 minutes. As me and my son Wait in the car hungry for about 25 minutes finally someone comes out and says they have no more of the fish I ordered almost 2 hours later. I was given a 50 dollar gift card/receipt. It's been a month since and I can never get through and the receipt has faded away. I've even left tithes and offering one day. I'm highly disappointed. But I will pray for my black people and businesses.
She went above and beyond. Everyone at the party asked me where the fried chicken and corn bread came from. Nothing was left. So grateful to have stumbled upon this food gem.

The food is absolutely delicious. Ribs, chicken, Mac and Cheese, grits , so so good. Recommend highly.

I was so disappointed with the food. I decided to pick this based off the great reviews. First , I waited a whole hour to get my food so that alone turned me off. We get the food and the food was not seasoned AT ALL. The candied yams was not tasty. The chicken was okay but the bread was just a sliced bread . It was soggy. The Atlantic salmon was burnt and dry. I was given grits with soggy veggies that I didn’t ask for. The grits were way to runny with no season. Everything that I ordered was not advertised. The way it was plated it just seems like the person didn’t care. I payed $60 for food and I didn’t enjoy.
