Im not sure about the food but the service is decent and the ambiance is second to none. Grassy's is the coolest dive bar in Queens and I could stay here for hours checking out the vintage decor covering every inch of every wall.

Old school feel with signs, dart board, billiards, and old school memorabilia. Last bar before crossing over to the Rockaways or the first bar crossing back over depending on your perspective. I had a couple beers and we shared some fried food. Bartender was attentive.

So here I am finally after 60+ years decided to stop at this place. The place is frozen in time but amazing. Timeless antiques all over the joint. So I meet John the owner and he recommends the chicken quesadillas. Which I order. Plus a glass of Sutters cabernet. The wine is surprisingly delicious. Smooth and no bite. The quesadillas are absolutely wonderful! The sweet potato fries are reliably perfect. Another glass of wine on John dies the trickI'm loving this retro vibe. Ok so all you Brooklyn hipsters have to "discover" this gem of vintage Rockaway!!

Best looking bar in New York City.Beautiful old former seaside hotel/boarding house is now just a really comfortable bar. They may have food, they may not. They may be out of your favorite beer, but it’s such a great space to have a drink (and the prices are reasonable across the board).They have pool and TV’s and will generally put on whatever game you request. All the people who work there are nice. Oddly enough, the locals on Broad Channel tend to prefer the other bar there, which looks like a 70’s rec room and has 1/10 the charm of this place.
