My dad used to bring home fresh bread from Addeo as a special treat for the family. For years we'd always enjoy the unexpected surprise.My dad, who was kind of an aficionado of all things Italian... he regarded Addeo as the very best.My kids, too, remember this fondly and carry on our family tradition of bringing home the perfect bread.

You don't come here because it's a charming bakery, you come here to get yourself a loaf of bread that you can't get anywhere else in the world. A loaf of bread so good, if they charged you five bucks for a stick of butter, you would buy it and eat as much bread and butter as you could.

I have been buying Bread at Addeos for over 45 yrs. Our Holidays are not complete eith out there breads- all though I moved to another State I always find a way to get the Bread

An amazing find to anyone who doesn't know the area but my family has been shopping here since I was a weeone, many moons ago. BEST seeded breadsticks on the planet, ridiculous shame that they don't ship items. People would order from all over with word of mouth advertising. SO GOOD!!!!

I love this bread. I ate it growing up in Harlem and then in The Bronx. Now I live in Texas, and the only time I get this bread is when I visit. I bring an empty suitcase just for my Arthur Ave goodies. I wish Addeo would ship their bread.

What a wonderful bakery!@ they had every kind of holiday cookie you could imagine. Outstanding!! I definitely recommend them.
Racist but at least the bread tasted good. I entered the shop and 3 ladies were in there. They were rude and dismissive and rushed me out of the store. They were counting money, and as soon as I walked in a lady rushed to lock the door until I finished shopping. All I wanted was some fresh bread. When I was about to leave, they started throwing the bread that was on display all in a shopping cart, no bags or anything to protect them. So just a heads up for those that will continue to shop there.
