We planned a few hours of our day to go to Arthur Ave. We have been several times & loved it every time. I picked Ann & Tony's due to it withstanding 5 generations. It wasn't fancy on the outside & we expected that the money was put in the ingredients. The inside & bathrooms were clean. Again, not fancy. It wasn't busy which was a bit concerning but it was an odd time of day. It was kind of late for lunch & early for dinner (although other places close by were bustling). The server was pleasant. The bread was average. The servings were plentiful. I was allowed to order a half portion of baked ziti which was very much appreciated. The Caesar salad was adequate. The chicken parmigiana & the baked ziti were absolutely terrible. I started eating prior to my husband & son. I bursted out with, "this is awful". My husband looked perplexed because we were eating Italian on Arthur Ave & I never complain about food in the north. He & my son each tried their chicken. It was edible but less palatable than a cafeteria meal. The spaghetti was absolutely horrific. The sauce for all 3 meals looked and tasted like a can of tomato sauce was opened, heated in the microwave and poured on the top of the food. It had zero spices & was completely terrible. We looked at the reviews at that point. It was then that I took ownership for the abysmal meal. A 3 star rating for an Italian restaurant in Bronx Little Italy! I didn't look prior because we have never had a bad meal in the neighborhood & believed we could never go wrong. We wasted our money for a Lyft from Times Square to Arthur Ave & then from there to the Yankee game. We could've taken the subway, gotten a hot dog prior to or at the game. We could've made better use of our time, money & appetite. So disappointed!

By the time I realized that the shrimp were gone, I was sad. It was the end of the meal. Healthy amount of pasta and bread served. A pleasant experience all around.

Loved watching this restaurant and family on CNBC's Consumed show! Wish them all the best. The family reminds me of my own experiences growing up around a small business.

Visited twice so far and we will be back ! Great homemade authentic Italian dishes. Felt like we were eating at my Italian grandmas house again- felt like the same plates she would use. Cool, old world vibe - friendly and welcoming staff. Love when it feels like they are genuinely happy to have you there. Priced fairly, quality meal. No left overs we ate every bit plus a few apps, bottle of red and a coupla shared desserts.

Food was below average. Took forever for food to be served. Also the server was trying to do to many things and every aspect was slow.

We stopped by and it was a great choice. It was a bit empty, dunno know why tho. The service was great and the overall vibe was nice and cozy. The bread and oil was warm and tasty. The wait for the food was a bit long but worth it. I got the Veal Columbo, the veal itself was a bit chewy and took a back seat to let the rest of the dish do the heavy lifting. I subbed in some Penne Alle Vodka instead of the usual Spaghetti in Marinara Sauce and it was pretty good.

Went hete for 1st time, saw good reviews on google. Should have looked on yelp. Family ordered chicken carbonara, veal parmigiano and a pizza. The waitress was attentive, brought our water, delicious bread with a dipping oil. Then the food came out in less than 10 minutes, and thats when it went downhill. The carbonara had chunks of onions, chunks of bacon, the sauce was watery and the chicken was white and looked raw. Had no flavor except of chicken and it was warm not hot. In my opinion, these things were cooked separately, put on a plate and microwaved. The pizza was a piece of italian bread with sauce and a big hunk of melted cheese. It was soggy, which if it was baked it would have been crunchy, again premade and then microwaved in my opinion. The veal was no different than costco frozen food and the pasta with marinara tasted from a can. Ive had better food at olive garden. Bill came, and you pay 3% if you pay with credit card, $4.00 for a mason jar of soda. Never again will go here.

Love the food, very authentic and feels home made. The food is not overwhelming with dairy like most Italian restaurants and that’s perfect! Atmosphere is very calm and quiet, went on a Friday and Sunday - very comfortable.

"A Taste of Italy in the Bronx"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Anne and Tonys, an Italian gem nestled on the charming streets of Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. From the moment I walked in, I was transported to the heart of Italy. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with rustic decor and a cozy atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of spectacular. I started with stuffed artichokes, and it was a burst of flavors. The fresh ingredients shone through in every bite. For the main course, I had the farfale napoli, and it was a true masterpiece. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a delightful depth of flavor. In summary, Anne and Tonys on Arthur Avenue is a culinary treasure in the Bronx. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with impeccable service and unforgettable flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Buon appetito!

Standard Ital/American food, just OK. Very turned off by the large TV in the dining room showing FoxNews. We felt rushed and uncomfortable.
