walked in the for the first time today and I asked for a simple " Bayahibe Burger " the burger literally named after this place and the lady in the counter doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about so I point the item out on the menu to her and she goes to the back kitchen only to return a couple seconds later to tell me no they don't have that. how do you not have the burger literally named after your fucking restaurant on a Tuesday ? maybe hire people who actually know the menu as well....

The way this place makes there food and keeps the place clean and the customer service is amazing. These people are so nice and understanding and they listen to what you want exactly ? totally recommend any time any day any meal literally.
Walking in the area I decided to pop in to see what they're about. I greeted the staff myself and the girls responded...they seemed engrossed in their own conversations. No matter, I took a few pics of the nicely designed interior with cute chotskies and comfortable looking seating. Asked a few questions and left. Fast forward a few weeks later. The greeting was initiated by the staff and more friendly. I decided to order a meal to go of Arroz con gandules, Pollo Asado and Maduros. Quite tasty, nice portions and comparable in local pricing. I'd be back to try their Oxtails which I found out is served on odd days of the week that I don't remember. Welcome to the neighborhood Bayahibe Fusion.

I would say skip this place. Save yourself the aggravation. Part of enjoying a meal is knowing that you are not getting ripped off. I ordered the smallest portion available. Manager told me my order included two pieces of meat, rice, and beans. When she placed the meat in the container, I told her that the second piece did not qualify as a piece of meat (in this case, chicken) since it was so small (think of a chicken wing). Her response to me was, "I gave you two pieces!" I couldn't believe my ears and the audacity. This restaurant is in a high end area of the Bronx. You opened up to serve your people NOT rip them off. I even asked a neighboring pharmacy about them and they stopped going there too because their portion size and prices always varied. They suggested getting flavorful food at better prices across the street (Travesias Restaurante). Learn from my mistake and save yourself the aggravation.
