I love this place, I have been going here for a very long time. I like everything that I have had from here, especially the matzo ball soup. Really my favorite restaurant ever.Kid-friendliness: I was a very little kid when I first started coming here and I would always get the matzo ball soup and share some chicken tenders and fries with my little sister.

Food is very good but agree that London broil is a bit tough.

It's okay. The service is definitely good. Coffee it's weak and my Challah French toast tasted very stale. Our other food was okay.

Way, way better than it used to be. I moved to the neighborhood about 5 years ago and I didn't like the place. A year or two ago things changed dramatically. The food is actually pretty great now for a classic diner, especially the pancakes and other breakfast food. Plus, the delivery guy is always fast and very friendly. Love this place now.

Terrific little dinner. Standard breakfast menu options. Pleasant, prompt service. Freshly squeeze orange juice.

Oh, boy! A wonderful Greek diner in the Bronx. We had great burgers, soup, and enjoyed the venue and the staff.

I guess it's expensive depending where you live. In general the food was good friendly staff. Empty inside. I plan on eating inside once I have a chance.

Well if you order delivery or pick up of a sandwich with fries, be sure to ask for separate containers. Otherwise they put the fries on top of the sandwich in the same container and the result--soggy sandwich. I called to complain and they said I should have asked for separate containers. I said , "how was I to know that""?". Who puts the fries on top of a sandwich? They said it's an industry thing. Duh? Never in my life.! I'll never order from here again. Who knows what else I don't know? Maybe it's a Bronx thing. I've only lived here for 8 years. Previously from Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.

I have been going to the Bluebay Diner in Riverdale for the last twenty-five years. I always enjoyed the quality and variety of my meals there. Ever since the owners, Chris and Alex left the restaurant, the quality of the food has gone downhill. I haven’t eaten meat in several years, opting for salmon dinners or grilled chicken. I made the mistake of ordering a London Broil sandwich and mushroom barley soup several days ago. I ended up throwing it all away! The London Broil was exceptionally chewy, and had no distinguishing flavor. The soup was oily, and was also not to my liking. I was very disappointed. This past meal was a deal breaker for me.I will not be going back there again.

Always enjoy the food here! Daily specials are always delicious. Best coffee in the neighborhood. Their Greek spinach pie was great that I had the other day! Staff is attentive and always helpful. Love coming to this diner any time I have.

Breakfast - Omelet's - tasty but overpriced. Pancakes - ok, nothing special and of course, not realj maple syrup. Homemade muffins, if made that day, they're are fresh. If not, don't bother. French Toast - Plain white bread, no vanilla, no flavor. Waffles - sometimes good, sometimes burnt and was given a difficult time when we refused it Eggs Benedict - just don't! Their hollandaise sauce looks like Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion and has the same consistency. I doubt there's any powdered egg yolk in it but there sure as heck is an abundance of salt. Home Fries - No flavor, barely cooked - not worth the carbs Grain Toast - It's worth spending the extra $0.50 for the Multigrain toast Lunch & Dinner - Soups - on a scale of 1-10 most are a 4.5-5. One way I judge a diner is by the quality of their soups and sadly, their soup was better 20 years ago. Salads - on a scale of 1-10 most are 5.5-6. While the onions and tomatoes in my last salad were fresh, the romaine lettuce was brown, limp and lifeless. Burgers - on a scale of 1-10 I give them a 6-6.5. They're usually juicy but, if you order a cheeseburger and ask for the cheese to be melted on the burger vs on the bun, they look at you like you have 3 heads and you're told "NO, we can't do that" and if you ask why, the server shrugs their shoulders. It's a CHEESEBURGER - that means the cheese should be melted on the burger, not the bun! I get that it means they have to clean a droplet of melted cheese off the flat top or grill but, it's a a major pet peeve of mine French Fries - If you like McDonald's or Burger King shoestring fries, you'll be thrilled. If you don't, don't bother ordering them. Broiled 1/2 Chicken - on a scale of 1-10 I give it a solid 8! It's always juicy and go ahead and splurge the $1 to have your broccoli sauteed with garlic & oil. if you ask for garlic they'll charge you $1 but in my book, it's worth it. Linguini with Chicken & Spinach - why I foolishly ordered this from a diner I have no clue but believe me when I tell you, don't waste your $$. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 1.5-2. Perhaps the pasta was al dente at 10:00 a.m. but at 6:00 it was gloppy as was the gloppy and flavorless sauce which although it's advertised as a light garlic and oil sauce - had the Vaseline Intensive Care color and texture. This delicacy came with 4 paper thin slices of rubbery chicken and 4 leaves of what perhaps was once fresh spinach. Chopped Steak - a big burger with lots of grilled onions cooked pretty much the way you want. Go for a baked potato and skipped their instant potato flake mashed potatoes. Decor - They have not updated the restaurant in a good 30++ years. The tables by the window are sticky despite them being 'wiped down' as are the tables in the booths. On a scale of 1-10, Blue Bay rates a 5. Go for breakfast, have a burger or broiled chicken and skip anything and everything else.
