Not only was the service rude when I asked a simple question but the food was disgusting. I use to come to this location so much but stopped due to me living further. I thought to give it a try again and the food was disgusting. Not sure if there is a new cook but that jerk chicken was not it.

The macaroni and cheese I ordered was OK you will definitely get plenty of food they give you plenty of food. I had barbecue chicken. The chicken was kind of dry barbecue sauce was something I never tasted. It really didn't give barbecue. I had some yams which were good. I ordered off of Uber Eats so I'm not sure about the service inside the restaurant or the ambience if I need to order something like last resort, I will order from here again.

Coming from Dallas , OMG food was soooo good I had to go back inside and let boss know… I was so pleased. Food is definitely tasty and not over powering which is a PLUS…Boss lady was patient and allowed to try the jerk chicken which was too spicy for me but it was definitely good… the flavors are really flavoring..Bbq chicken sauce is different and tasty . Tastes like it was made in house which I’m sure it was….Vegetarian options: Vegan sides like yams, boils okra, rice and peas.Kid-friendliness: Nice plant based options like yams, boiled tasty okra, rice and peas and other sides…

Ive been coming here for 15+ years since I was a little kid. The flavor that made the oxtails the best in nyc is GONE. I thought I was me so I tried again and again and each time I’ve not finished my food . Still have oxtails in my plate. I used to destroy this meal with passion . That flavor is gone. It was a GREAT run but this will be my last plate and the price has gone up. I don’t mind but why would the flavor be gone too . This taste like oxtail from any Jamaican restaurant, youtube recipe oxtails. I used to crave the sauceeee but it’s just not that good. Idk what happened but please rehire the old chef . I’ll try again in a year but the last 3 times has been a waste

I ordered off the dinner menu, which is one meat and 2 sides. Curried Shrimp was so tender, Rice and Peas was as you'd expect, and the Rasta Pasta was so creamy and flavorful. The employees were super friendly and the food was ready right away. The restaurant looks a bit outdated or what you'd expect if you were to go to a local spot in Jamaica but that didn't bother me. Overall, 10/10. I would go back and recommend to all my friends.

Never again! A $60 waste. My Sister says the food is probably better in the daytime. Freshly made may be best.I keep thinking it's gonna be different. I keep taking chances on these bronx restaurants, and I'm disappointed most of the time. I'm starting to believe these restaurants just throw food together just to get your money. Nobody cares about good food anymore.I had the jerk chicken. It was LOADED with sauce. Way too much sauce. I did not request any extra sauce. I couldn't even enjoy the chicken. It also was very spicy with a vinegary taste to it. Ugh! The mac and cheese was hot, but the cheese was stiff like it was cold. You would think that since it was hot, the cheese would melt. Just weird! Was it real cheese? The taste was eh. The yams were the only thing I enjoyed. A little too sweet but tolerable.I'm tired of spending money and receiving less than what I expect.These restaurants don't have any problems taking your hard earned money, but they have a problem giving you good food. ?

Flavas on Gerard Avenue in The Bronx has the option to dine in with two tables and some chairs but your probably going to want to take your food and go. They give decent size quantities of food , but only have one option size wise which is the dinner size. I went there and I ordered the curry goat, rice & peas, yams, and collared greens. It ran me about $24. Despite the name being flavas the flavors were lacking. I had to go home and revamp my greens the flavor was almost gross like out of a can and no effort. The rice and peas were dry, the yams were bland, and the curry goat was so so I don't recommend this place If you're looking for something to wow you. If you're just hungry, you need a quick bite and you don't care what it tastes like sure It's overpriced and I'm probably not gonna go there again.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian optionsParking: Because it is on a small busy block it may be easier to park and walk down to the storeWheelchair accessibility: The store is small so not much room but is it is accessible

I wanted something local and different. Flavas was not far from Yankee Stadium and looked really good. The food is served cafeteria style. I ordered the dinner plate and got rice w/beans, cabbage and ox-tail. The food was so delicious! Portion was plentiful (I did finish it all) and staff was friendly enough. The ox-tail was so tender and full of flavor. The restaurant itself was a little warm and could use some updating, but I grew up in places like this, so no biggie. I would definitely do by if I'm in the area again.Cost was around $30 with a drink. The ox-tail was one their more expensive items.

The portions were nice, as well as the seasonings on the jerk chicken and sweet potatoes. However, the collard greens weren’t cleaned properly and had alot of sand/dirt on them and who really wants to eat crunchy greens? And the mac and cheese was better with the jerk sauce.
