Great addition to the list of authentic Mexican restaurants in 138th street. The food and service are stellar at the upscale Hacienda Agave. We started out with appetizers- tortas with chicharrón, ceviche, tlacoyo, tuna tostadas and esquisites. It was all delicious. Next up were quesadilla de Carnitas: soo good! The mole de pollo which was phenomenal and every dish tasted better than the next. The Chamorra was my favorite- lamb shank in a rich stew, we also had the Branzino- which came beautifully wrapped in corn husk, it was moist and had a very delicate scent of herbs. For dessert: the churros were crispy and soft with dulce de leche. The tres leches was perfect and not too sweet and the flan was velvety and rich. The cocktails are varied and there are choices for all tastes. I started off with a non alcohol drink- cucumber and ginger- the bar was so accommodating and made our dinner party horchata martinis and a non alcoholic horchata martini! Highly Recommend !

Awesome new place in the neighborhood, went for happy hour and left very impressed and satisfied, tried the tuna tostadas and the pulpo al pastor. Will be back for sure to try other items from their menu.Jair was very professional and attentive.Highly recommend! ?

Love this new restaurant. The staff were really nice and attentive. The hibiscus margarita is made with an authentic hibiscus puree, and was absolutely delicious. I had the special kebabs which aren’t on the everyday menu. The steak was flavorful and tender and I couldn’t get enough of the accompanying salsas and chimichurri. I also had the tres leches cake which was good but didn’t need the extra sprinkles, it made it a little too sweet. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. They have live mariachi on Fridays and Salsa on Saturdays. Great addition to the block!

Omar had been out server, while dining at this nurturing and authentic, Mexican restaurant. It is a gem in Mott Haven and definitely a place to experience. The appetizers and dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is rustic and true to the ambience of a inviting jazz lounge.
