Best food in the 161 court area of the Bronx. Hands down. I also used them to cater my holiday party and the food was Top notch !!! Also the everyday food menu is extensive so there's something for everyone and the sandwich guy is official !!

I love love their food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner they have a huge variety of dominican dishes. I eat here multiple times a week. The line tonorder your food is usually long at breakfast and lunchb am and 12 noon. The servers are fast and friendly. The prices are fair and they serve you a good amount of food.Vegetarian options: avocado casava salads fishWheelchair accessibility: there is enough space to enter and exit

One day I wanted to purchase some home cooked Spanish food from this bodega before going to work. I noticed the Latina lady taking the potato salad out of the refrigerator and looking at it. I wondered why she would do that?? I purchased baked chicken (leg and thigh) some eggplant and white rice and potato salad. The food tasted like it was cooked 3 days ago and the potato salad tasted very acidic. This meant that she added more vinegar to it for it to last longer. How do I know?? I can cook food from scratch, but due to my work hours it is impossible to cook often. To Katelyn's Bodega, I would really appreciated the cooks preparing fresh food. It is not acceptable to sell stale food because you cannot afford to dispose of the food. We all know food is expensive, but when you decide to have a business, you have to appeal to your customers!

Okay so I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while considering I’ve lived around the corner from this place since I was born. First off, this is a family business of a father and 2 sons, Andre and his 2 sons Carlos and Jonathan. The family is really nice and never stop making changes to the store where ever they see fit. This is a great spot if you want some comforting Dominican food. If you love seafood, pleaseeee try or ask for their Bass Fish, it’s fried perfectly every time I get it, and they give you WHOLE pieces of the Bass. Really good. But if you’re just looking for a quick sandwich before you leave for the busy NY day, they make those too and they make them just as good. I love an egg n cheese on a roll, my dad loves their ham egg n Swiss cheese on a roll. Oh did I mention there’s a meat market in the back of the store? Yes if you want fresh produce and meat, they have that as well in the back of the store. They also make smoothies in here too if you’re not too hungry. Prices in here are amazing, go in there with $20, you can feed a family of 4. $6-$7 for the big round aluminum pan of food, about $10 for 2 sandwiches, and $4 for a gallon of juice or 4 Arizonas. Overall, very good place to eat and never disappoints since I was a kid. Whenever I do get a chance to eat their food, it tastes like home.

I remember in the 80s it was just a small store. Now he owns the whole corner and more. They serve the public with quality food and service. Very clean for a take out only order.
