Review of La Masa, Lydig Ave, Bronx:I recently dined at La Masa on Lydig Avenue in the Bronx and was thoroughly impressed. The standout dish for me was the Camarones En Cilantro. Not only was it beautifully plated, but the portion size was generous, offering great value for the price. In fact, the portion was so ample that I couldn't finish it, a rarity for me.As a General Restaurant Manager with over seven years in the industry, my expectations for dining experiences are quite high, and Chef Daniel consistently exceeds them. His attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident in every dish. The service at La Masa is equally commendable. My server Marcel, exemplifies professionalism and charm. Her ability to remember my regular orders adds a personal touch that makes me feel at home. Her grace in serving, coupled with a talent for upselling, enhances the overall experience.La Masa is more than just a restaurant for me; it's a staple in my routine. The lunch specials, available from 11 am to 3 pm, are unbeatable in both quality and price. My go-to order is often coffee with pan de bono, and sometimes I treat myself to a quick lunch accompanied by their delicious blackberry juice. However, I rated the atmosphere three stars as there's room for improvement. The restaurant could benefit from leaning more into the Colombian theme. Enhancing the interior design to reflect more of the Colombian experience, adjusting the music, and introducing elements like dimmed lighting and electric candle centerpieces could create a more inviting ambiance, particularly for the older demographic in the neighborhood. In summary, La Masa strikes the perfect balance between exquisite food and exceptional service. It's a place that keeps me coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality dining in the Bronx.

This place used to be awesome. It was just a bakery. Now it’s a restaurant. They charged me $19.60 for 2 tres leches and 1 flan. They didn’t give me the flan and I didn’t realize until I was home AND the tres leches is dry. Like bone dry. Very disappointing

This place has awesome empanadas, they are baked not fried, but fillings are tasty and fresh. We had some juice that wasn’t fresh, but as soon as we mentioned that to the waitress she apologized and offered a soda for free. Great services and great prices
