Stopped in here about six times over the last couple of months, being in the area on and off for business and just had to, it had been a while, I'm a New Yorker now living in another state and just have to stop for good NY food, like the bread here. Great bakery. Bread is delicious. Service is wonderful. Local flavor and culture shine through. Love the olive bread!!!!

I have diabetes and this bread is so good i go against the doctors orders to enjoy it. The olive bread is the best in the country . Anyone leaving bad reviews needs their head examined. If you’re in the area this is a must stop . I bring loaves home and freeze them and they are still delicious when I defrost and heat

Stale cookies and day old bread. Don't go here. I have gone here many many times over many years. It's been a hit and miss situation but lately a clear miss every time so I'm done. I used to go for the cheese bread but it seems to be reserved for the locals. Bread is pricey and too many times I've been given hard as a rock loaves. Cookies are just plain stale. There are other much better bakeries who care enough to treat customers well and who care about customers enough to provide fresh merchandise. TerraNova and Addeo are much better choices. Go to Egidio for sweets. They care.

if anyone that shops here is thinking about buying olive bread, please think again.went there for some this afternoon and it was always an awesome experience sorry to say no more. Madonia where are the olives there was literally 2 olives per each slice of bread. This is unacceptable when paying premium price at ten dollars per loaf. Please don't be fooled like I was...

Madonia Bakery is reputedly a Bronx institution, having served up delicious Italian bread and pastries for over 100 years. It's located on Arthur Avenue, which is known as the "Real Little Italy" of New York City.

Top spot in the Bronx. They get a 5 even after almost breaking a tooth from a pit in their olive bread. Small shop that's big on quality. Exceptional cannoli. I'm a fennel bread addict on top of that.
