Good food but the slowest service ever. Huge fan of their sister restaurant Porto Salvo, right across the street. There were not more than 7 people in the restaurant yet it took forever for food and drinks to come. The waitress held court with a table then they ended up feeling entitled to a free app to compensate for the wait. They held her up for half of my time there! Drinks & food were tasty but the service on a slow Sunday is a no for me.

I love Minato for us in the Bronx ✨It’s a calm low key gem..I really enjoyed the outdoor backyard seating with the wind chimes and relaxing music playing through the whole room.Food: The rolls are good with a beautiful presentation, the mussels soup was absolutely amazing!(I ordered one to go )The shrimp shumai were tasty and the shrimp tempura were such a great crunch. ( just wish we had 2 more )The lychee Pana cotta was such a creamy dessert, simple and lightly sweetened . The mochi ice cream and the red bean paste were different.. not my type of dessert but not bad!The drinks were moderate but delicious and the bartender is super humble ✨?

My daughters and I have found our favorite sushi spot. We absolutely love it! The atmosphere is low-key and has an amazing vibe. The music sets a great tone, making the overall atmosphere just perfect. Even though I highly recommend this place, I hesitate to do so because I want to keep it as our little secret. I don't want it to become overcrowded. I know it might sound shady, but this sushi spot serves the best sushi I have ever tasted, and my daughters feel the same way.

I read about this place from Google reviews and had to give it a try. I'm still s noob at traveling and decided to walk from Yankee stadium to the restaurant needless to say I was worn out. I guess I looked bad because when I arrived I was greeted by the hostess and offered a seat and a glass of water which I accepted. I looked at the menu and went for the Poke bowl (my first ever) I couldn't enjoy the food there and took it to go. When I got home, I opened my Poke bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it as I relaxed. I'm looking forward to going back and enjoying some other sushi dishes in a more relaxed manner, hopefully this weekend.

I have been dying for a Japanese restaurant with some high quality fish. I was waiting for this place to open up since I love Porto Salvo. I decided to spend a Monday evening here. Food: 4/5 Honestly, finding high qualify ebi (shrimp) and ikura (salmon eggs) in the Bronx was impossible before this place. I would often find myself going to Manhattan just for a decent assortment of fish. When I tried the chirashi here, I was surprised. I usually get some mediocre salmon and tuna. But, this was great! We got some plum wine (which we took home to finish) and enjoyed the evening. Service & Ambiance: 5/5 I really enjoyed our waiter/host, Thomas! He was super nice and really knew the whiskey menu. All in all, I always get a few bites here for my sushi fix before heading over to Porto Salvo. I am happy that these places were created and so close to each other!

This spot is a heavenly hole in the wall. Perfect for locals that want a nice vibe and great Japanese food. Everything was cooked to perfection and the decor is lovely. I tried hot sake for the first time and while it's an acquired taste, i appreciated how it prepared me for the rest of the food/drinks. I came here on a last minute whim with a friend and we'll definitely be returning.Come here after work for a nice drink and some sushi rolls or plan to celebrate an event, it's appropriate for both!

I noticed the restaurant with its red sign and door a few months ago and have been wanting to check it out. My husband and I went on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowed. The front of the restaurant has a chill intimate vibe. They also have a back area thats enclosed and speakers modern zen. The waiter and waitress were very welcoming. I had a hot sake and we quickly ordered some Karaage Chicken, Shrimp Tempura and Large Salmon sushi flight. OoooEeeeeeMmmGggggg!!!! Chicken was flavorful but not overpowering. The tempera was so fresh not too greasy and the shrimp was so fresh. The sushi flight - so fresh!!! We actually ordered 2 rounds of the same items. This place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood you have to try!!! My husband and I will be going back soon!! Good vibes and amazing food!!
