The food quality is average...but the middle aged hijabi lady at the registrar is very rude and illiterate....she misbehaves with people for no reason...i think she is mentally sick...so they should remove her from the store.

Beware eater!!! Do you know how to calculate the service charge? That charge will be applied depends on their mood. Their “Halim”(liquid processed dal with meat) pot was empty (about to finish) when we waked in. Don't know how they made it for 11 people!!! 4(four) full bowl of halim. Mostly, every Bangla restaurant cook this menu very small amount everyday. Out total bill came up-$109, where $20 was service charge. Their service charge is 20%. Now Lest see.. who is good in mathematics!!! When i showed him the calculation. This amount was charged randomly. ( in bangla-‘thamko dhora hoyeche’) I know, Now you are waiting to know about halim’s test… go there around 9:30pm. And order halim. Before order, look at the empty halim’s pot, steer with the given spoon. When you receive your halim, you will find lot of smelly cube lamb in your halim? You must try if you have constipation problem. OMG!! It will absolutely work.

I’m sorry that I have to write this bad review after eating at Neerob about 20 times since I moved to the Bronx in July. But recently they have gone downhill and the owner has been a jerk. I’ll start with the food I got last night. Firstly, the chicken biryani I received had one decent sized piece of chicken and two small chunks. This is much less than I’ve received in the past. There was like a 80-20 rice-chicken ratio. That’s putrid. You can see the three pieces of chicken in my picture. There’s a little more rice left in the container with no more chicken. For $10 that’s outrageous. Secondly on this order, I feel sick. One of the pieces of chicken was not fresh and had an old taste. The other two were fine enough. Immediately I felt a stomach ache which is still with me now three hours after eating. So not only did I receive very little chicken, the chicken i did receive was spoiled.Other than todays order, the owner was rude to me a few weeks ago. For a while I had been getting biryani rice with no chicken and they were charging me $5 for a container of just rice. Fair deal. Then one day the owner said sorry it’s $7. I said but I had it for $5 10 times and he said 10 times we made a mistake with a negative tone. He was never negative with me before that and was always friendly. I don’t know what happened. Even last night he ignored me while another work served me the biryani. My last complaint is that two times I ordered tandoori chicken legs and they were rock hard. The other times I got it the legs were tender and tasted great. But those two times they were so hard. Almost as if they weren’t fully defrosted. Each of my three complaints here are based on differences from one time to another. Maybe a bunch of times the food was fantastic, fresh, didn’t feel sick. But I’m sorry you need to be consistent and also not have an attitude. And if I can’t trust that your food will be soft, fresh, and won’t make me sick then I’ll find another place

Ordered to go. I love their vegetable samosa as the crust is crunchy, not too thick and enough size. However, their chicken biryani is too oily and the raita tasted like it’s made from mayonnaise.

We ordered catering from here for one of my pre wedding events and all the guests LOVED the food. We came here on a Sunday to do a tasting and the catering manager was so kind and helped us figure out how much food we needed for all the guests. They also offer delivery for a fee. We ordered samosas, chotpoti, paneer tikka masala, Bengali roast chicken, channa masala, rice, and firni. The samosas and chicken were an absolute favorite of the guests so much that everyone has asked where neerob is. We would definitely use them again in the future!

Excellent food. Excellent service. I've been coming here for years. Their "Kacchi" is awesome. And they have "borhani" as well. One of the best restaurants.
