Sanbra Door Restaurant is the best African Restaurant in Bronx New York. Located at 861 East Tremont Ave, Bronx. It's just by the roadside, easy to locate. It's opens 7 days, from 10am to midnight. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Seats are antique and comfortable. And the staff are well dressed and friendly. The food is so delicious at very good rate. You can get fufu with variety of soup, groundnut, palm nut, abunuabunu, light soup, chicken soup and others. There is plain rice, jollof rice, chicken pieces, khebab, boiled and fried yam, kontomire stew, beans and plantain, waakye... there are so many dish options to pick from.If you love Ghanaian or African food or you're just curious, come by and try it out.

I ordered Banku and okra stew from Grubhub. The stew is really good and the frustrating part is I can’t enjoy it. The okra is not smooth. There’s hard pieces in it. It’s not smooth at all. That’s really annoying I have to pick them out my mouth or spit them out. It’s cost me 30 so I’m dealing with it but I won’t order Banku from here again. Tbh I’d rather make my own okra stew to avoid things like this. I really hate when they’re hard piece of okra. It’s like little stems of wood

The food was delicious. First time there, and I'm definitely planning to stop in the next time I find myself in that area. I used Uber eats to order ahead, so I didn't have to wait, and my interaction with staff was very brief. It was a smooth pickup.

The lady who owns the store was so disrespectfu, she speaks to people like their dogs and has the worst customer service I've ever came across. She's very discriminatory to people who aren't from America even though she isn't. The police had to be called since she was getting physical. The store is the stinkiest and dustiest place I've ever been in. You won't survive more than 5 mins in there. If you want your money to be spent where you're respected, do yourself a favor and don't shop here. (my previous review had the wrong rating so I had to correct it)

The food was just ok & it's an old ( building.) establishment.

This review is for the store not the restaurant. But they are next to each other. One of the many African stores in the Bronx. We like this one because we're used to it. I know my wife likes going back to this store even though we now live in Suffolk County. Her reason is that there are some things you would only find here.

Great food, just a little dark inside and the line to order food was kind of complex, but the food makes up for it.
