ABLEIST RULES NOT CONDUCIVE TO HEALTH OR SAFETY. Last night, I was told by a bartender here that I was not allowed to eat outside food in the establishment, even though it was after the time Pete's itself stopped serving food. I told her that it is not conducive to our health or safety for us to drink alcohol without also being able to eat food at the same time. I didn't even mention that I probably wouldn't be able to eat much of anything they sold there if I had gotten there before they stopped serving food due to my dietary restrictions. The bartender told me in response to my argument that I didn't HAVE to drink alcohol there, but when I asked about non alcoholic drinks, there were about two options, so it seems like people who come there after they stop serving food are being encouraged to drink alcohol (at least implicitly) while simultaneously prohibited from eating which is NOT SAFE! Not eating while drinking alcohol actively makes the alcohol affect people more quickly and intensely and there is more risk of negative effects!!!!This is systemic ableism under capitalism. Eating food is a necessary bodily function and dietary restrictions exist and people need to eat at specific times. I don't think I will be returning here; I did not feel that I was able to take care of myself in the establishment.Background: I've been to Pete's several times over the past few years to hang out at the bar with my friends, and it's a place where we can usually get into some conversations with strangers, which is nice. Unfortunately, I've also usually found the place pretty overstimulating. I recently also learned that I'm allergic to dairy and gluten so I've primarily been taking my own foods out and about in order to make sure I have something to nourish myself without giving me an allergic reaction everywhere I go, and additionally because I am chronically ill so I need to be eating consistently in order to keep up my energy levels. The most recent time I went to Pete's, we arrived after they had finished serving food and we sat at the bar to drink drinks. I had also brought some snacks for myself because I hadn't eaten a lot that evening yet.

The menu sounded promising but didn't live up to it. One burger came with a sunny side up egg, but we didn't want that so asked if they could fry it instead, but they said they can't, which is fine, the menu is the menu. But the coffee was almost room temperature and was more coffee colored than flavored. The fish in the fish n chips was flavorless, unsalted and unseasoned. The avocado on the avocado toast was too liberally doused with melon juice, the chilli was more like a dry bolognese than chilli but it was tastier than everything else we had. The mac n cheese was good. The entire place itself is spacious, clean (even the bathrooms), and it wasn't too loud in there.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps, you can go from sidewalk right into the space.

Looks like wings and disco fries are the only two items that are worth it on the menu. Burgers were literally the worst burgers I've ever had, made me wish I drove to a McDonalds instead. Ordered burgers "medium rare" and got a "well done" gray fully cooked meat with absolutely 0 seasoning and it came on an english muffin, which was odd. Wife specifically wanted disco fries and waitress completely forgot about it, even though it was the first thing I ordered. I was hoping the waitress would stop by and inquire about the quality of food, but she failed to check in on us, so I ended up eating the tasteless burger. Wings are good though, no complaints.

First time on St. Patty's day, 2023. Live bagpipes! I have had their fish and chips 2 times and it was delightful. The last time I was there Ion Friday I ordered the French onion soup. I wasn't impressed. The cheese wasn't not evenly distributed used on the top of the crockery and it was served on a soaked napkin because there was some sort of overflow. Also, the bread in the soup was hard and stale. I had it before here and it was delicious and served with a package of saltines with an excellent. presentation.
One of the best burgers I've had. Great atmosphere and friendly servers. Good beer selection and a big menu for meat eaters. Loved the sweet potato fries and will definitely be back.

Usually have a good time here but last two times have been a disappointment.... We were told a 15-20 min wait. Then two other parties showed up after us and were seated before us (one also a party of 3 and another party of 5). When questioned about this, the hostess seemed to have completely forgot about us despite us standing right in front of her the whole time (had went around us, out of the way, to seat the other parties...). Had to ask for the check twice and waited forever to get my card back. The food was great but service is lacking and ruins the entire experience.

Fantastic service, delicious flavors, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries!!! Wonderfully crispy and sweet; perfectly french fried! This place is a cozy neighborhood bar with American fare and a British pub flair. The service was friendly and welcoming. The best thing we tried was the sweet potato fires and the firecrackers calamari. Both were cooked wonderfully. The selection of beer and wine is adequate for anyone coming in for a meal or just to wet their whistle. Cash and credit are both accepted. Bathrooms are available for the public. Dining inside and outside is available. An interesting surprise was the Colman's mustard on the table, which was a very delicious condiment to add to the meal. 01/2024Parking: Metered street parking
