This small tucked away location seems to be a big date night spot, or let me say first date night spot. I came to meet a friend here and was pretty amazed at how many ppl seemed to be on dates. The ambiance is very cool you would never expect this inside of an old train station. Food menu is limited for more of snacks which I think is perfect for this size place. Drinks were flowing and service was attentive and had recommendations if you need it.

The Whistling Rail is a phenomenal cocktail bar. All of the drinks the beer, spirits and food menus are superb. The servers, bartender and owners are friendly and beyond attentive great people. All around this speakeasy cocktail bar has become our go to spot and will remain at the top of Westchesters finest.

On my last visit to Whistling Rail, I had some work I had to do that I did at a local restaurant in the area and I had my boyfriend with me who has never went and I really wanted to show him this amazing spot! He’s really good with being a DD so I was really hoping they can make him a great mocktail and the bartender came up and asked us for our drinks and he came up with this amazing one for him with raspberry and mint. Mine was their oat milk grasshopper cocktail which made me very happy as a vegan since there are barely any cocktails with non-dairy milk at not all vegan spots. The drinks were absolutely delicious and we were treated so well by everyone! My boyfriend and I had a great time and we were able to talk about a lot of things and I was able to finish my work!Parking: Parking at train station

Whistling Rail NEVER disappoints! Fantastic unique drinks, friendly staff, amazing service and a speak easy cozy atmosphere. Whistling Rail has become a must do when family and friends come to visit.

OMG horrible place!!!! I was sitting next to the two people that were asked to leave by the owner and my group left shortly after because it was SO uncomfortable and uncalled for. She asked them to leave yet they had more than 1 drink like she dishonestly claimed in her responses message and food. The table next to them, two seats at the bar and a standing table all open. She just didn’t want two Spanish people there and I heard her say the comment “I don’t want your kind of peoples business here” the two people were so nice and polite even after being presented with racism and disrespect. I will never go there again!!!!!

What a horrible, tasteless, classless and RACIST experience. I first went to this bar during the week with a few friend and it was completely empty so overall a fine timehowever when I returned today I was greeted with the most uncomfortable and inappropriate service from whom stated she was the owner but would not provide her name when asked for it (her picture is attached to this review). After closing out our check without us request it, the owner decided to approach us and say “ you didn’t order enough drinks and stayed to long, this is not your house” “ I am the owner and do not want your KIND of PEOPLES business here” “I had to turn away other people because of you”. As we sat in disbelief, as two minorities being spoken to in this manner, we regulated our emotions and responded accordingly by stating that most restaurants/bars give notice if there is a time limit to turn over the table so that they can capitalize on their financial intake. The owner stated that money wasn’t the issue. We proceeded to say that we would have paid for the table but we did not want to consume any more alcohol and she she answered “I just don’t want your business”. As someone that has worked in the service industry I have never seen such poor, insulting and not to mention bad business approach comparable to this and as a Therpaist I fear the language that the owner chose to use on her patrons could be detrimental on levels that she may not understand. This women should never speak to a customer again nor be the face of this establishment.
Bartender was annoyed at having a lot of people at the bar from the same group. Had an issue with casual conversation.

This small, exquisite speakeasy right at the Bronxville train station is exactly where you want to go when you want a perfectly crafted cocktail in yhe area. We only had one round this time, but we'll be sure to be back! The smoky Negroni, made with Mezcal instead of gin, was easy to drink and made the grown up classic even more so. Kitchen closes at 9, so if you need a snack to balance your booze, start earlier. ?
