My favorite restaurant in NYC. If you want an excellent, classic arepa, look no further. The staff is friendly, attentive, and great with allergies (even if you have a lot, like me). Everyone I’ve taken here loves it, and so do I.Dietary restrictions: I have essentially every food allergy you can think of and they’re all severe. Arepera Guacuco has always been careful and I’ve never had a problem. As long as you communicate with the staff, you’re in good hands.

Look to be honest I don't know what a fair price is for Arepas or an Arepa sandwich for that matter all I know is that they may appear small but I had one and was full for a long time. The beef the chicken arepa sandwichs where both winners to me. We also had the fried cheese which was better than any mozzarella stick in the area. The service was friendly and pretty quick also.

The arepas are delicious, the pabellon is my favorite. They are small compared to their price.I have visited the place on several occasions, but I was there on Saturday and drank the water they serve in glass bottles and it gave me a very strong stomach pain. As a recommendation, they should filter the water provided in this presentation.

On Google it says the place closes at 10:30 pm. I arrived to eat with my visiting brother at 9:50pm, they treated us as if we were in the way. They only wanted to sell us empanadas and nothing else. (pavilion only) I sat at the table to wait for the empanadas and they brought them to me in a take-out bag and they took the sauces off the table. As if to tell me to leave. There were still 40 minutes left until it closed according to schedule. And after me, more people arrived at 10:10 pm and did not want to attend. They received calls and hung up on them. The manager was a very bad-faced boy with glasses. That's why 1 star and never again.

The food was decent and the service was pretty good. We tried quite a few arepas - but my fav was steak. The coconut milkshake is a must try. I just found it a bit pricey for the serving size!

Please update your hours. We took an Uber here on a Friday night, got here here at 10:25pm and the hours say you close at 11:30. The guy with the glasses told us in a condescending tone that they were closed. I said, oh for take out too? Cause it says you’re open till 11:30. He said YEAH. Ok well please do not advertise that you’re open till 11:30 then. I came from out of town to visit an old favorite. Super disappointing and I understand the negative reviews that mention similar experiences. Rude and bad.
