Bartender was clearly dipping into his own supply and was, unsurprisingly, obnoxious. (The demeanor would be more tolerable if he didn’t work at the pizzeria equivalent of an amusement park restaurant.) More importantly, this pizza sucks and as other reviewers have already noted the signature “artichoke” slice is inedible. Please get bent, Artichoke.

if you’ve already tried the classic artichoke pizza, try the crab this time

It's a small spot but it's a GEM. They offer beer and liquor at this location!

Artichoke pizza was inedible- slathered in cheese, with a puffy/thick crust, unlike the typical NY thin crust style. The order wasn't ready by the time I went to pick it up, and hastily made, which probably explains why it was so haphazardly made. Avoid.

I ordered a pizza here and they yelled at me about a fax machine. If you’re a woman and want pizza don’t come here they WILL be aggressive.

Question: How does this "cash only" pizza shop continue to exist with a rude staff serving overpriced, sub- par pizza?? Answer: Artichokes 1st location was in the E.Village on MacDougal street. Anyone who's familiar with NYC knows how the foot traffic is on that block all night long. They've always been good at slinging pies to drunk people from out of town. & now they're back to their old tricks again at this 5th ave location. Serving sub par pizza to people who are "passing through" the neighborhood. Here in the Slope they're catering to the Barclays clientele, especially the hockey fans. This is why they don't mind being rude. They're not really as dependent on return customers as other pizza spots in less "fortunate" locations. ....mystery solved.

That's an absolute Yes. You in BK go get yourself a slice and you will absolutely eat another. Mark my words

Pizza was awful. The dough is way too stiff (bready) and was bone dry and overly charred. This place is an expensive gimmick

Love my artichoke slice. Don't waste your money on the margarita slice. It's not that tasty or flavorful. I'm actually really disappointed. Also I'm not feeling how they charge $0.95 to each price point and they do not give you your change. That's stealing, which is probably why they only take cash. Stealing from your customers is not cool. Change is change or you just need to charge to the nearest dollar.

Truly my favorite pizza in NYC! I love the flavor of the sauce and the bread and everything, so delicious! Big slices - $5-6 a slice I believe. It is cash only but they have an ATM inside. It’s a small spot, not really a sit-in.

For starters the pizza was very mediocre. $27 bucks for 4 slices that was tasteless and bland. To make it worst the crust was super hard; so it was inedible. The only thing that was decent was the Margarita slice. Other than that nothing really stood out.

I got 4 slices (2) artichoke slices & (2) pepperoni slices First let's start by saying wow these slices individually weren't a joke when I saw how huge the slices were for just $6-$7 that's a deal if you ask me found my go to place ;) & packed with flavor go now I promise it won't disappoint, friendly staff very informative.
