Bati is one of my favorite restaurants and Ethiopian spots in the entire city! They catered my birthday brunch and all my friends loved it. Plus I had leftovers that I got to enjoy all week. Do not sleep on this place ?

We've been here several times. The food has always been good. The service is good when it's not too full. The ambiance feels very generically African which is cool...even if Ethiopia is pretty far away from the Nigerian Afrobeats music they play. But it does give it a nice vibe. Drinks are good too. Overall, I'd say it's a great date night spot or spot to try a new cuisine with friends. Get more than you think you want so that you don't leave hungry.

So good!! We got the vegan platter and then the 7 year chicken and mushrooms added in there. Delicious. The mushrooms were grilled with onions and such a good addition.

Liked it, didn’t love it. Didn’t realize how small the portions were. I got the lamb dish, with cabbage and beets on the side. Lamb was tender, cooked well. I may just be unfamiliar with the cuisine but I kept expecting the stew to taste different. I may give the place another try, not sure.

The food is great but service is terrible. We waited 1 hour and 15 mins for our food. The waitress forgot that she never took our order. We did not get water. She finally served us water but never gave us cups for the water. She finally took our order and messed it up. We ordered one vegan and one meat sampler and she combined the order and when approached about it she had an attitude and said “that’s how it comes.” We went on to explain that one of is vegetarian and need a separate platter. She went on to remark that she took everyone’s orders in the restaurant and she does not make any mistakes which was completely irrelevant to the conversation at hand. We still had to share the platter at the end of it. When the bill came we got charged for two individual plates despite getting only one plate to share.
I love Bati! Please support the new location. We don't need another Italian or Mexican restaurant! We need great Ethiopian food from a lovely place like this!Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options!
Delicious food. Had take out which is not always perfect but this food was very good. We picked up the food and viewed.the restaurant which has lovely ambience. Next time will eat in to enjoy the atmosphere.

First time I ordered from them was pretty good! It came in a great container to properly scoop the stew and veg with injera! The injera was nice and warm, the beef stew was a bit watery but the lentils and cabbage were great! The second time I got much less food in little cups. Difficult to eat from as well. The injera was stale and the lentils were soupy all of a sudden as well as the beef being more liquid than meat?? Good flavors but I don't want to pay almost 30 dollars for this... Inconsistent

Holy flavor!!! This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and now I'm hooked. I've now tried a few other spots and this still remains my top so far. I even love getting this food to-go. I've only tried the vegetarian platter but can't recommend this enough. So packed with textures and spices, it tickles your taste buds in all the right way. Also can't recommend the spicy Kategna enough. SO DELICIOUS. Love the chill vibe in here, great for catching up with friends. Service is awesome. Can't wait to come back! 5/5
