This spacious, elevated brewpub in prospect heights was a really pleasant find! The interior is really well done -- lots of space, but they preserve a warm overall vibe even with the many, many seating options spread throughout the large room. The bartenders were great, really knowledgeable about beer and very focused on quality. They even checked each glass before every pour, gotta love that attention to detail. The beer list is impressive, with plenty of options on tap. Definitely something for everyone in terms of variety of styles. It was a bit pricey, at $13 a pour for a nicer local beer, but still a good spot for a few good beers with a group!

Cute space with plenty of seating and a nice little vibe to grab a drink or two at. It's not intimate or cozy enough for me to want to spend an entire evening here, but it absolutely gets the job done and it has been added onto my list of spaces to hit up quick when I'm in the area.

This is my “local”. When we have friends or family visiting us we normally go to beer street for a drink. My husband goes in regularly for his after work beer(s). There’s always a great draft list (I am a sour drinker and there’s always something for me which isn’t the case with many bars!), staff is friendly, space is industrial chic & always super clean. Kombucha (if you need non-Alch) & Cocktails are available if you don’t like beer. Good music also creates a solid atmosphere. When there’s nice weather they will set up tables outside and I’ve sat with our dog at the outdoor tables and enjoyed a beer with friends. Overall I’m very grateful this spot is so close by!

This is a nice place to come with a group or even a quick date. They have a great beer selection as well as good ciders on draft. Great service and very clean bathrooms. I can’t wait to come back here and show some of my beer loving friends!
My friend brought around 80-90 people there today (a rainy Saturday around noon). She made reservations with the owner for her kid's birthday party and had an open bar for a few hours. A magician came and I asked the bartender to turn down the music at the magician's request. He barely touched the volume and responded that it wasn't a buy out party. There was only one couple there that wasn't with our group. The music was unnecessarily loud. After paying a large tab, my friend asked him if he could at least turn the music down for happy birthday which he obliged. The bartender gave off a very bad vibe. Later I learned that no one from management told him about the party, but this wasn't my friend's fault and they brought in significant business on a day that the bar would be basically empty. I hope this doesn't happen to another family.

Beer Street South offers a delightful experience. Its outdoor seating area, with a view of the street, creates a perfect setting to relax and savor our drinks. The staff is not only friendly but also exudes a trendy, hipster-like vibe, adding a touch of coolness to the atmosphere. The charming brass interior decor gives the place a unique character, and their drink selection is truly impressive. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely chat with friends, providing a serene ambiance for good conversations.

I just plain love Brooklyn and anything in it. But Beer Street South has a good vibe which is very chill and not too active, somewhat loungy with amazing lighting. Also an assortment of local beers to support the local economy and businesses which I appreciate. Awesome place I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
