Inflation is bad but the prices here are wild. The pastry is very good but not worth the price shock.

We tried a baguette, cookie, and amazingly complex pear vanilla tart. What a treat. Every time I have stopped by this store the staff have been absolutely lovely and so helpful! Always friendly, happy to make a recommendation, and eager to help me find the perfect baguette (which I found today!).

Came in today and ended up getting an almond croissant. Looked delicious, but turned out to be dry and tasted burnt. $7 for a burnt croissant. Expensive and disappointing smh

This is the second time I’ve bought a loaf of bread from this place. It somehow managed to be harder than the one I bought previously. It’s crazy to pay twenty bucks for a loaf of bread that the sharpest bread knife struggles to cut through. The first time this happened I thought it was a one off. But I am starting to see it as a place that only sells bricks instead loafs of bread. Bricklayers are at home here, consumers of bread are not.

I visit this place quite often when I am in the area. Good pastries - especially love their seasonal ones - they add interesting combinations Good sandwiches and coffee In one word - I do recommend for breakfast or quick lunch!

I smelled something delicious on the street so I had to walk in and try something here. I ordered one croissant but the guy gave me 3 for the price of 1, and they were delicious. Highly recommend.

The $20 gluten free pound cake was frozen. They didn’t bother to thaw it or to tell me it was frozen. To be fair, they later gave me a refund, but the gluten free family members didn’t get breakfast today.

DO NOT BUY THEIR COFFEE. As delicious as the breads and pastries might be, their iced beverages are such a rip off. Ordered a 20 oz cold brew and it was like 16 oz of ice with 4 oz of coffee! Go to blue bottle or absolute instead for your coffee. Pastries and bread are still good, no doubt. Also definitely a takeaway only place.

I've been a patron of Bien Cuit for well over a decade, and while I still believe their croissants and breads are the best around, I have to take stars off for the pricing. I just picked up a medium latte with regular milk (not oat or hemp or whatever is in style these days) for $6.25! That's wild. Are we still blaming inflation? Did the cost of coffee beans go through the roof? I'll continue to come for the baked goods but will head down the street to Dunkin for my coffee

I showed up super early so it was pretty empty. Amazing selection of breads. Pastries were good too. Coffee was ok. Staff was nice.

Recently, I discovered ‘Bien Cuit’ while picking up supplies at the Asian store next door. It’s a bit pricey, but once you taste their bread, you understand why – though it really depends on your appreciation for the unique texture of slow ferment bread. What impresses me most about ‘Bien Cuit’ is their commitment to their craft, despite the modern trend towards shortcuts and quick fixes. We need more bakeries like this.

Had some good croissants before but won't be coming back because the last one I got tasted burnt. Charging $7 for burnt food should be illegal. I got it to go so I didn't see the dark color until I wanted to eat it for breakfast the next day. Truly disappointed.

Had the chocolate almond croissant and the white bean and pickled onion tartine. The tartine fell a little short because I only had some onion in the middle, but the issue is that the onion is what accentuates the flavor of the bean. Would recommend them having the onion spread evenly across the bread. Now the chocolate almond croissant. I'm not an avid chocolate fan, and I don't really eat too many croissants, but the moment I had it, my mind went blank and gave me flashbacks of a better time. 10/10 would buy again.

The best croissant in Brooklyn! This cute little French bakery is open late at night baking for the next morning. We walk by the shop at night just to sniff the smells of pain eu chocolate. I don't know why this isn't more known. Best best best couldn't recommend it enough.
