If you're looking to a throwback to yesteryear, this is the place. Old fashion broth-dipped roast beef that melts in your mouth.

They have one of the best roast beef sandwiches in Brooklyn they've been there 86 YEARS!!! WOW!!!If you get the knife and fork roast beef sandwich you MUST eat it right away if you wait too long the juice will make the bread soggy..thier roast beef is excellent I recommend either the knife and fork where they dip the whole sandwich in the greasy oily yummy gravy..omfg deeelicious!!!! Or you can have one half of the bun dipped in the gravy or have it dry just the roast beef in the gravy..I've been there twice and it's ALWAYS the same DEEELICIOUS 5 stars all around once you go once you WILL go back.i hope they're around 86 more years..an old fashioned restaurant SINCE 1938!

A Brooklyn classic! Great comfort food. I eat here maybe once every few months on my cheat day . Staff are real NYC born and bred locals. Great team!

My wife had the roast beef, I had the chicken sandwich and my daughters both had burgers. All the food was delicious. My only regret is not stopping in for a bite sooner!
Tried the competitor immediately after. This place carries some premiums- this “cash only” business is significantly more expensive than the competition, especially when you consider gratuity and the potential HEFTY upcharges for a side of broth. Very inconvenient to not accept a credit card and to pay at the register after service. Roast beef was too soggy. Bread lost ALL rigidity because it was soaked in broth. And the broth here was way less flavorful than the competition. Needs salt. I would enjoy this place if it were the only game in town- but it’s not.
