This place is the answer for winter. Hot, deliciously spiced food and kind staff. Even just sitting waiting while they prepared my food, it was warm, cozy, smelled wonderful and the music was great. Now I know why everyone has been telling me to go here. Will definitely be back. Worth the hype.

Insanely good food, lovely staff, and quick service. If you like spices and well seasoned food, pull UP!

Day trip to Brooklyn and decided to give this place a try. My friend heard about it from a blogger, I wasnt familiar. You can basically either go with a standard bowl or create your own. I opted for the chicken, rice, veggies and medium spice. If you are allergic to peanuts you cannot eat here because peanuts are used in everything. It does take some time to complete order because everything is made fresh. The ONLY thing I would have liked was to have an option to eat inside but it is a small establishment. HOWEVER! I sat outside at the picnic table provided. I took a few bites of the bowl before we started walking and while it was still hot. All I can say is OMG!!!! It was sooooo flavorful. It was so good that I went back in and ordered another bowl (salmon with eggplant) to take home to have for lunch the next day. Staff is very welcoming and make it a good experience. You can even get your picture taken for their wall. I will MOST DEFINITELY come back next time/whenever I visit Brooklyn. And Ive already told some friends about it!!!

The food here is delicious! The issue is everytime I order and I mean everytime- even in store there's always missing ingredients! So many times I've been charged extra and never received what I payed for. Last night I ordered a large salmon bowl with egg and plantain and paid extra for avocado all I got was the salmon, rice, kale and cucumbers and 3 pieces of tomato, I was disappointed once again ?I think I'm gonna take a break for awhile now

When the grade is "Pending", it doesn't mean any good.Yes the food tastes good. But... The place is dirty, overpriced and portions are small. And if you want Xtra tofu - it's $4, LOL. The service also doesn't feel very welcoming and you most likely will not find a comfortable spot to sit. There are so many better options in the neighborhood and I just don't get how this small kitchen still exists. The taste is definitely not one star, but combining everything else... They need to do a renovation and stop being greedy. But who cares about cleanliness if local hipsters will continue to willingly overpay.

My mom, sister, and I had the pleasure of experiencing Brooklyn Suya. We visited the city from MD for a quick weekend getaway and my mom insisted that we stop here based on some great reviews she saw online/travel vlogger. We got 3 different bowls but managed to have a bit of each of the protein items on the menu. I need to go back and praise Toya from Guyana ! She was amazing and made the whole experience top knotch. From taking our pics in front of the restaurant to making sure we were satisfied with our order selections. Her energy was infectious and we appreciated her setting up a nice spot for us to sit and eat. The food was very fresh and the proteins were cooked perfectly, no tough meats over here. We really enjoyed all our dishes and will never forget our visit here. Toya even gave us one the Polaroid pics she took of us as a souvenir. 10/10 for the entire experience !
