This place has the best margaritas around! Tamarind with the spicy kick on top is perfection. And their iconic 4-6 Happh hour with cheaper drinks and wildly cheap authentic tacos is amazing.

These tacos are incredibly cooked and mastered to perfection along with all of the hot sauce and onion toppings that come with them. $6 Mezcal Spritz and $3 tacos on happy hour. The fish tacos are exactly like the ones I had in Mexico or as close as possible. Cali mexicana here, my fav spot.

The atmosphere here is cozy. But the food isn't good. It is not made with love. My enchiladas suizas were something I'd be served in the Midwest by someone that has never visited Mexico or even traveled to the Southwest. It was sent back and I got the shrimp quesadilla instead, which was tiny. Taste wise it was saved by some spiciness. Fyi I'm from LA and know what real Mexican should taste like.Fortunately, the drinks are good and cheap, especially for happy hour. My jamaica margarita was tasty. Maybe I will come back for drinks but this review is scathing enough that they're probably going to recognize me and throw me out immediately.

Really amazing tacos! The duck carnitas, the Al pastor, the brisket taco were our favorites. We also ordered a side of blistered scallions, highly recommend to add it to your tacos.The wait staff were super friendly and attentive.Definitely will want to return for another round!

We were walking through the neighborhood starving. Mateo stepped out and asked us to sit. Great vibes, better food, love the stickers and graffiti - and Mateo took great care of us. Best meal in NYC. Will be back when we’re back. 10/10
