They made me wait 20 mins and held up the entire line behind me because I asked if they had what I wanted to order prepared then when they finally answered they said “now you can wait another 20 mins” out of spite. All the foods are very delicious. They can brush up on the curry chicken and shrimp because I feel like the amount u get with the dinner should be a little more. Other than that everything else is top notch. Best place to get Caribbean food in Brooklyn!

This place has been around for a while and I've passed it so many times without stepping in. As a Caribbean woman, I have to take my curry seriously. Cause not everybody knows how to do curry right but De Hot Pot is doing something right!So far I've purchased the chicken doubles and roti, boneless and with bone. And I conclude that I prefer the boneless option better. Hear me out, the curry tastes a bit different from the dark to white meat but I prefer the curry with the chicken breast. I know...surprise surprise! It just tastes a little different and personally, I prefer it. It much easier to eat without the hassle of the bones and it's so tender and juicy!! Omgggg I also have had the beef roti, separated which is yummy! They're a neighborhood gem and Only Take Cash. So bring your wallet but don't forget the green stuff.

BUYERS BEWARE: Last weekend my bf got chicken roti, potato roti and doubles from De Hot Pot for me, my sister and himself and the good got all three of us ridiculously sick! We all had diarrhea for several hours!Shortly after eating it my stomach immediately started hurting me. All three of us got ridiculously sick and had awful diarrhea. I went to the bathroom 15 times! If it wasn’t for the peptobismol I probably would have still been sick. I had diarrhea for a total of 17hours after eating that chicken roti!PLEASE STAY AWAY. You might risk the chances of getting sick the way we did.
