Hubby had his first and best omakase experience. We went for our 24th anniversary celebration. At first, before the omakase begins, hubby was like “I only like salmon because of its buttery taste. I don’t like any other fish” and then next thing I hear was “omg, this fish so good”; “omg, this fish is also yummy”; “oh this fish is so fresh and tasty” ? ? I laughed at him and asked if he still likes salmon ONLY. He says no. Yay! Mission accomplished!!

Don't expect to find city quality omakase coming here. Otherwise still a very good place if you need a quick sushi fix in. Did the Gohan tasting and wish there were more sashimi/ Nigiri pieces but could've been a seasonal thing. Staff was very friendly and attentive!

Came here last year for bday celebration. Chef was very nice and sushi were tasty. Did omakase.Gave us free sake (2 shots$ cus I said it tasted good)Free cheesecake- surprise bday special & free ice cream mochi. We reserved a table by accident but we were able to get seated at the bar. Very nice space. Would recommend!

A true hidden gem with some id the best quality sushi you can get !! Gohan sushi is up there with some of the best I have had in NYC. The Staff is super friendly and the service was great. I also loved the atmosphere of the place very minimalist feeling like an authentic Japanese experience.

Outstanding omakase experience. Love the minimalist decor and feel to the restaurant. Certainly has the Japanese aesthetic that we found while traveling in Tokyo and Kyoto. I had the Gohan omakase and we shared a bottle of sake. I was very happy with all the pieces included in the experience. I wish my wife ordered the same set as she kept trying and enjoying the food I ordered. Excellent service. Our waitress was very helpful and funny. They had one gender neutral restroom which was handicap accessible.

We had the Gohan Omakase, which was delicious and very filling. The chef was so careful with my husband’s shellfish allergy. The food, service, and even the music were thoughtfully delivered.
