Just ordered for delivery, but the: - Pork Chow Mein is like all cabbage and a little pork in sauce...no noodles at all. Wth? - Lo mein has no flavor - very bland Won't be ordering from here again.

Wish I could give 0 stars. 2nd time ordering here. I went to heat up the leftover lo mein for lunch today and found a thick black hair about 3 inches long in the middle of the container. My hair is light brown and goes past my shoulder so it’s not mine. The hair was mixed up in the middle of the food. Never ordering from here again

Happy garden sounds like just another run-of-the-mill Cheap Chinese place. There are no shortage of these places because they serve a massive clientele of hungry locals. My family has a curse with these Chinese-American takeout places. We have a great experience the first few times and then the food starts arriving of a much lesser caliber. That being said, Happy Garden is my current place for a healthy, fresh Chinese American Combo Meal. They use fresh, clean vegetables and clean meat. I would prefer to have the tiniest amount of high quality meat in my food, more like a seasoning, atop a bed of varied greens. These guys do a good job of keeping the vegetables good without the big compromise: it's either loaded with piles of low grade meat in cornstarch, with a few veg for garnish, OR its so nutritious and delicious that they move to Williamsburg and I never hear another word.. Surprisingly clean beef in my veg. I am excited to try more things! But once my spouse ordered green beans without meat, but didn't know how to get the usual sauce. So he just ordered it regular instead of "beef with stringbeans, no beef"...and they served it in garlic sauce. Lots of places do this if you order it without meat; a real Chinese string bean might be topped with ground pork in the seasonings even if you asked for the non-meat version, because that is the traditional way to order it. Should you find yourself in the strange new world of people craving Chinese American Fast Food from whichever era you spawned, then I recommend trying as many local Chinese American places as you can. This one has the sauce-veg-meat ratio we are looking for, and the kinds of combination platters that can feed the whole darn bunch.

I went here on Satarday and ordered a large pork fried rice. It was so good and it was made so quick. The boy working at the wok there should get a raise because I was craving the fried rice every day but I live in Staten Island. Def should try this restruant and order a large prok fried rice. You should give that boy at the wok a raise because the fried rice is so umami and so good with perfect portians of ingredients.

I’m so disappointed in Happy Garden. I have ordered from them religiously for years as my go to for Chinese because the food was mostly pretty good and the prices fair. A friend of mine ordered for me from them through grub hub. We both got a pint of wonton soup, an egg roll, one container of chilli oil to split and a soda which all came out to over $20 so it’s not like they didn’t make money from our order. Upon delivery, we notice one of our soups is missing as well as the chilli oil. So we call back for the soup she sounds annoyed already. Then I mention the chilli oil she said no you have to pay extra for that! Which would’ve never been a problem it’s just my friend must have wrote it in the comments and didn’t realize it was something extra to order. So I said, we’ll pay the .75 cents but not for nothing you forgot half my lunch, would be nice as a .75 cent courtesy. Nope. She took my .75 cents. And she probably didn’t know it was for me since my friend ordered and that I’m a long time customer, who also recommends you to everyone in bay ridge. You just lost so much business over .75 cents because that’s just embarrassing. Shame on you.

Food is bland, nothing is seasoned. The lady- he she- they seems like she hates her job. and is doing you a favor for ordering from them. Do yourself a favor and order from Panda. It's the only descent spot left in the 70's, even 80's. Taste of China used to be banging until the kids took over, now it's a hit or miss and the delivery guy needs an attitude check.

Hands down the best Chinese Food in Bay Ridge. Food is always so tasty, well prepared and in good portions. Delivery man is super fast too! Note: Know your order if you’re ordering by phone, lady who answers speaks super fast and will sound slightly annoyed if you’re taking too long, she’s got work to do?

Lady on the phone is super rude. She gets my order wrong every single time and gets mad at me because she doesn’t speak a lick of English!! I also ask for extra hot sauce and I either get NONE at all OR 2.

Excellent delivery. Fast and high quality. Order regularly. Tried somewhere else when they were closed and was so disappointing.
