Our meal at IWAK was good enough to call it a Williamsburg gem after one try. Great rolls, pork buns, and sake. The service and atmosphere felt more reminiscent of Japan than a number of other sushi spots.Excited to have a new sushi favorite nearby!

10/10 food Shiitake Miso soup is a MUST. Best miso ever. Definitely order one when you go. Love the spicy tuna roll, all the special rolls and the sweet potato roll. Can't go wrong honestly. They do not disappoint, more fish than rice usually which is unheard of. I'd recommend going in over ordering as I've never ordered. Usually plenty of tables available but best of all was when they had complimentary sake. I don't think they serve it anymore much to my disappointment. Petition to bring that back!! :) But it's BYOB now so definitely bring sake or beer or wine.

I was looking for a sushi spot around Williamsburg and this place had us curious. We order a sashimi plate and a roll. The flavours here felt like a bit of a Latin fusion with jalapeno and cilantro mixed in. Great tasting and the fish quality was good. The portions were a little small for the price. Service was great and we got a salad appetizer for free.
