I have no idea what happened to this place. Got a large order of pastries for people visiting from out of state. It has been a long time since I have been to Jean Danet . They USED to be so good! DRY ,STALE ,TERRIBLE TASTE , ALL OF THEM! Over 100 bucks down the drain. Get back on your game guys! NEVER AGAIN !

I spent my money for something not worth it. Prices were good and cheap but you get what you pay for. It’s frozen and old and dry. It honestly went to waste. I guess my garbage got some dessert tonight.

Fantastic, Authentic French Bakery with delectable, authentic, original recipes (that have survived for at least 50 years). Their buttercream cakes such as their mocha cake and Black Forest cake can't be beat and they bake cakes for all occasions including birthdays and weddings. Their butter cookies are delicious beyond belief and come in many delectable varieties. This is not a bakery to pass up!

I got my wife's birthday cake here and got an inscription "Happy Birthday Baby Cakes" plus a bunch of italian cookies. I have to say it's the best tasting cakes I have had in a very long time. (Wish I could reverse engineer a cake to get this recipe.)I really enjoyed the service as well. Young lady that was there was very easy to talk to and clearly someone is doing something right with customer service. I have had some disappointing experiences since moving here but this one was great and memorable since it's our first birthday in our spot. Thank you and Blessings on you guys for 2024!Definitely my new favourite cake shop in Bay ridge. I highly recommend them. ??

If you like Cream Puffs they have the best! Filled with delicious french cream. The cheese cake is very good also, I'm not a fan of their pastries and pies are just ok.

Our family has been going to this neighborhood bakery for over 4 decades. My father's favorite dessert was their strawberry shortcake. We continue this tradition in memory of him when we have a gathering.This year we tried the pecan pie as well. Most remarked how it wasn't overly sweet

Had the eclair and cannoli, both were excellent. Tasted freshly made and sweetened perfectly which is not overly sweet until your teeth hurts. Will diffidently buy from again. The missing 1 star is for they are a bit pricey.

Pretty bad apple pie from here. It was definitely similar to those D shaped pies from Hostess back when I was a kid. Crust was hard, not flakey or even sweet.

Bought the oreo Cake Slice, Pina colada cake slice, it was tasteless and dry, nothing like oreo cake, they just put the oreo cookie on top of it and call it oreo cake. Waste of time and money.
