I had to explain to the server, exactly what I wanted. He looked at me, like he didn’t understand what I was saying. Everyone made a big deal out of this place. I don’t know why.

The new general manager (forgot to ask him for his name) is so kind and thoughtful! The store accidentally forgot to deliver one of the three sandwiches I ordered and he was so apologetic when I called about it and not only re-delivered all three sandwiches, but also sent a bunch of free cookies and chips. Such a kind thing to do!

Don’t put mayonnaise on your sandwiches if it doesn’t have it on the menu.

If I could give this place a zero or a negative star, I would. I went to this location, put my order in for a wrap. There were only two employees visible. One was in the back washing equipment and the other was sitting a the guest tables on his mobile device, so when I walked in he went behind the counter to take my order. After I was given the total, the employee walks over to grab a pair of gloves to put them on, making no attempt to WASH his hands first, especially after previously handling on his phone. I was disgusted. I stood there and watched him start making my wrap with dirty gloves, because remember he touched the gloves to put them on with UNWASHED HANDS(cross contamination). I hadn’t paid yet, so I just walked out because I didn’t have the energy to address this young man about food handling. That’s his managers job. They better hope the Health Department never comes in there.?

Ordered a sandwich from here, the Tommy Cubano, and there were peanuts on the sandwich. Nothing in the description of the sandwich states that peanuts would be on it. I have a mild peanut allergy, so I wouldn't have ordered it.

Frequented Jimmy John’s back in my home state and I’ve missed it since moving to NYC. It’s so nice to finally have one in the area, and the sandwiches are just as I remembered!

I have yet to learn from my mistakes. This place is so insanely slow when you order delivery. Multiple times I end up waiting so long. At almost two hours now since I ordered. I’m sure it’s great in person but don’t order delivery.

I'm from Atlanta where Jimmy John's are everywhere. I used to live near one that I frequented so much that I knew the owner's names bc they were always in there. The customer service was great as at other Atlanta locations. I just moved to Clinton Hill and despite there being several great bodega's and deli's within a few blocks radius, I was excited to see a Jimmy Johns bc I LOVE their bread.Upon entering I saw one employee in the back doing what looked to be prep work and one customer on their cellphone at the front table. The customer glanced up at me, rolled their eyes and walked behind the counter. Surprise! They were an employee. I order my favorite sandwich, the Hunters Club and grabbed a cookie and a bag of chips. The surprise employee, who seemed angry with my presence, wrung up my order. It was pretty expensive and I asked him how much a combo was. He told me it was cheaper. Why wouldn't he offer me a combo from the beginning? I switched to a combo, got my order and got out of there. The sandwich was great, although the bread wasn't as good as I remembered it.To be a sandwich chain in NYC that charges $16 for a sandwich combo and is competing with at least five other neighborhood delis in a three block radius where you can get the same thing for $10, you have to be superior at EVERY level. I will never go back to this location and I'll be surprised if they last very long.
