I was in the neighborhood and was dying for Haitian food. This place didn't disappoint. I ordered fried pork (griot), black rice, akra and a side of plantains (tostones) lol. It was sooo much food. lol. I was able to split this meal into 3 meals which was worth the money. The customer service was great. I don't speak Haitian Creole, but one of the men there helped me order my food to the servers who did not speak English. The pikliz here is so spicy and delicious. It went very well with the pork. Also, the gravy they gave was perfect on the rice. The black rice was sooooo good! It seemed like they used basmati or jasmine rice. But, it was perfect! All in all, each time i came to this restaurant I've truly enjoyed the food. I've had no complaints thus far. The ambiance of the restaurant reminded me of a dining room in a Caribbean persons home lol. Unfortunately i didn't take many pics, but i did grab a pic of the black rice. I was too hungry and totally forgot lol. See pic below

When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into the restaurant, and the food was ready. I paid about $18 for the medium size and left. When I dug in, the food was really good. I enjoyed the turker and the black rice. All in all I had a good experience.

I lived in this area 7 months today was my first time at joenise I repeatedly had to tell him I want curry chicken and white rice and was still gave the wrong order and not only that the chicken was cold I'm talking bout like it was in the fridge and then he pour some bitter cold sauce on top which made it worst if I could give 0 stars I would. maybe because I'm american they decide to treat me that way

TRIGGER SOUNDWAVE
This was the first time i ordered from here and will not order again. I ordered the beef vegetable legumes with white rice peas plantains and salad. The rice was hard. It must of been old rice mix with new rice. The sauce had no beans at all. The beef legumes wasn't bad. The plantains and salad was missing from my order. I ordered threw grub hub. They fully refunded me. This place wont get my business again.
