Last review I left for this place was in 2009 when it was still owned by the original owners. It is not the same as what it used to be. IMO the quality and taste of their famous roast beef hero is just not there anymore.

I've had the johnny roast beef and a few others, but when I tried my favorite, veal Parmesan. It was incredible, I've been searching for a great place for VP but it seems nobody in Brooklyn knows how to make it. Tender as can be. I just wish I didn't live 40 min away.

John’s Deli is an incredible piece of Brooklyn history. Good food, friendly staff and one-of a kind atmosphere. They have many photos of celebrities and the whole place is a celebration of Italian-American history. I even got a free piece of merchandise from a manager! Take the D train there and try out the “JoJo the Whale” fried shrimp sandwich

John's Deli is a great place in South Brooklyn that has been open for decades. Their food is delicious and prices are reasonable. Their atmosphere is one of a kind. It is filled with photos of celebrities and Italian-American history. The management and employees are also very friendly. One of them even gave me a free piece of merchandise!
This is one place I order from and they make my food just the way I like, my food is always on time for delivery, dining in has a very clean environment the staff is very helpful.. OG John deli, there is no place like it..you will not be disappointed 100%
