The food here is always absolutely amazing. There is so much love out into these recipes. The service is warm and friendly each and every time. The space is relaxing and carries a homie vibe. Stop in if you're ever in Bed-Sty.

I can only comment on the food as I ordered in. This is my 3rd time ordering from this restaurant. The second time my order was cancelled because it was Joloff rice and the were out. I should have made the same order cause I got some dry couscous in my Tiebuu Jeune today, and to be honest what I really wanted was the joloff rice. So one sad customer. Not a fan of any meat (lamb and the fish in tiebuu jeune) I’ve eaten there. It looks and smells good but the spice just doesn’t penetrate. I like the Joloff which means I will give it a final try but this time in person. Hope to update soon.

Delicious flavors! I've never eaten inside, but the space is nice, too. Quick delivery.

We loved the food at Joloff! We decided to explore a Senegalese restaurant during our visit to Brooklyn. Given that the African continent comprises more than 50 countries, African cuisine is diverse according to the region of the continent. Senegalese food is a cuisine that stands out.Pay attention when trying to locate the restaurant on Bedford Avenue, you will only see the word "Joloff" in green letters on the glass in front. If you are driving it is easy to pass by.The restaurant features small tables covered with beautiful traditional West African fabric, and livens up the place. The service was superb, the waitress was attentive and very kind.We began with the fried yuka accompanied by a sauce and a hot ginger tea. The yuka sticks offered a delicate flavor, and the unsweetened ginger tea packed a punch. Since the ginger tea is unsweetened you have the option to add the amount of sugar you desire. The floating mint leaf in the tea added a nice touch. For our main courses, we chose Mafe Ganar – chicken stewed in peanut sauce with vegetables, served alongside jolof rice. The peanut sauce delivered a smooth balance between the peanuts and the vegetables.Another dish we tried was okra and jolof rice, which was well cooked and had a pleasant flavor profile. One thing to note is that Joloff has a comprehensive vegetarian/vegan section on the menu, a feature I have not seen in other African restaurants.Joloff restaurant certainly earns my mark of approval.

I have dined at Joloff in the past and always enjoyed it. This past experience was disappointing. They didn't have ice for the beverages and they didn't go out to buy a bag of ice. The lamb was very tough. I wasn't pleased at all.

Both the typical senegales fish (forgot the name) and the mafe (lamb with peanut sauce) were very good. Especially the lamb, wow

Amazing little Senegalese restaurant family run by a mom and her sons. It doesn't get more authentic than this. I felt like my own mother was there getting ready to yell at me for playing with my food.

I just ordered the Mafe Ganar, and the food is amazing! ?? ???? I love how it tastes and the texture of it. At some point, my mom and I will come and visit the place. Keep up the good work, guys!

Unfortunately Joloff has been lacking flavor. The few times I've been there this year the food was bland, portions smaller, prices higher. One time the joloff was partially cooked. The service remains good.
