This isn't pizza. It was warm bread with sauce on it and no cheese. Extremely disappointed.

Good quality pizza. I think a lot of the negative reviews are here because they were expecting a different kind of pizza. If you come here expecting NY-style pizza, you will be horribly disappointed, but that's not what it is supposed to be. My only gripe was the price. The pizzas are effectively flatbreads but you pay premium prices. Really enjoyed it, but my wife and I were still hungry after splitting one.

Overpriced pizza and way too salty. Amazing beer.

Very cool place with great pizza! I got a vegan pizza with red sauce, olives, and no cheese. It came out great!Vegetarian options: If you are vegetarian (eating cheese), then there are many options. If you are vegan (not eating cheese), then there are fewer options, but they are willing to make a vegan pizza.Dietary restrictions: They were willing to make their Red Pie into a vegan option by making it without cheese.

Wonderful addition to the neighborhood. As a non-drinker, happy to report there are options. Pizzas are uniquely delicious.

Order: white pizza, clam pizza, pep pizza, plainVerdict: really delicious across the board, nice and thin and crispy. Missing some of the Smokeyness of real New Haven pizza though. Clam was probably the favorite.
I am a huge fan of Grimm so was looking forward to trying their new pizza spot. Unfortunately, the pizza was quite disappointing. I'm a thin-crust pizza person, but this was so thin it lacked any integrity and felt like eating pizza toppings on a cracker or flatbread. The topping combinations were enticing and creative, but because the pizza was overdone, it was hard to enjoy them. That said, its a fun, hip spot, just like the brewery, and I definitely want to come back in the summer and sit on the rooftop and enjoy their wonderful selection of beers, wines and cocktails. I have seen photos of more robust crusts in other reviews, so maybe the dough/chef was just off the night I went in.

I love Grimm beer, and always have good experiences downstairs, but the upstairs lala situation is a huge letdown. For the hour+ wait the pizza is fine - not bad, but certainly not worth the compounded value of time+price. A traditional New Haven apizza is also a much more substantial size. The bartenders, though actively busy have an air of neglect toward at least 1 customer every time I got another round. It was me once, and a few other people getting the same “I see you but I don’t see you” service. All in all more attentive staff, and speeding up the pizza process would make this better.
