Went there on a Friday night with my boyfriend, the lady from the kitchen was very pleasant and patient with us. The food was good, I've been to other haitian restaurants, so far Le Gouter Kitchen is my favorite. The decorum needs some work but the restaurant is located right on Nostrand Ave which is a good thing.

It was full of grease and the chicken did not taste that good. I couldn’t even finish it and it was 9 dollars. Was not worth it at all.

Wow: the pumpkin soup has beef, potato, noodles, carrots, very peppery and HUGE. Delicious, not like restaurant-refined food, but like something a family would make for family members. It was very comforting to eat. Like something special is being shared with the customer. Also delicious: turkey, stewed. Try with the black rice, which is cooked with beans. The owner, waiter, and chef are very, very nice people. What an evening we had!

I was driving down Nostrand around lunch time and stopped in to this small place to grab something simple. as soon as i walked in i was kindly greeted which you dont get everywhere these days. they were kind and so helpful with choosing my lunch. i was sold on the Griot which is a tradition dish in Haiti. I thought it couldnt be as good as they hyped it up to be but it was. So much flavor and taste. i will definitely try something new but if not ill be having the Griot again. very friendly people and great food.
