Food is wonderful, love the vibe and the staff. Lots of live music. GREAT margaritas and guacamole.

This was an interesting little place I have to say. It is certainly not your typical Mexican restaurant. Buttt I do think it has much to offer. Food: 8/10. They don't sell burritos which is the greatest sin ever made BUT they did have burrito bowls which was pretty good, I got a nice amount of guac which is always appreciated. It came with brown rice which I wasn't expecting but we need to get skinny for summer so no complaints here. The Nachos were epic!! Super big and filling, it needed more cheese in my opinion but it was still yummy. Drinks:7/10 the drink menu is very short which is not typical of a Mexican restaurant and there were no frozen options which breaks my heart but the bartender made me a mojito off menu so i was content. Overall cool experience, not super ideal for large groups but great for a little date night.

First off the owner is a vibe. Secondly, I’ve never had guacamole that tastes so good and so fresh, I’m literally in love. Lastly, the food is top tier !

What a lame service we had, for very ordinary food. We were a party of 6 and we were served almost 5 minutes apart, from one person to another. When the last person was served, we were all finished. A 20% service fee was applied to our bill, we had to ask to see the bill and we were charged extras for additionnal chips! If you are travelling to NYC, don’t go there, all they want is your money! Furthermore, the food is dry and not very tasty.

Wonderful food, even better service. The staff and owners treat you as their own. Love that the margs come with a choice of tequila or mescal!

Really enjoyed a delicious meal here. The interior is small but beautifully decorated, feels like stepping back into a taverna. All the food we had was really delicious. The chips and guacamole with salsa was some of the tastiest I’ve had in the city for a while. I went for the shrimp fajitas - huge portion, could have easily split with another person. Tried a bit of the chicken burrito bowl too which was great, again great portion. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. The only thing I wasn’t so keen on was the margarita which was a little too sweet for my liking. They have a great happy hour though, 5-7 Monday to Thursday, beers $5 and some cocktails $8. Everything was really reasonably priced especially for the quality and portion sizes.

Walking in, I figured we were just early as the place was empty...that should have been my first clue. Happy hour house margaritas served lukewarm in chilled glasses. Strike 1. I ordered a salad w/ steak, but was never asked how it should be prepared. Strike 2. I received an unidentifiable meat overly cooked w/ brown Iceberg lettuce, a few beans, and avocado- the salad was soupy. Strike 3. Skip this place.
A hidden Mexican gem!I can’t believe I didn’t know this place existed, having walked near it so many times. Service was very friendly and the food was outstanding! Got tamales and the Suckling Pig sandwich with yuca fries and it was great. I will be back here for sure to try additional food items!
Popped in here for the first time ever for a brunch/lunch yesterday (Sat., Nov. 18). The restaurant had a great vibe and the staff was super friendly. The iPad menus were a neat touch, and something I had never seen before. My friend and I placed our orders, but accidentally got brought the wrong food. The food served look wonderful, so I just rolled with it, as did my friend. The staff realized the mistake and came over to apologize. They were super kind and explained what we were served was actually more expensive than what we ordered, but that they would only charge us for what we ordered. I felt bad that they were so apologetic because the food we received was truly wonderful, but I did appreciate that they were being so professional about it. I hate to send food back to the kitchen because I always worry it’ll just be thrown away, so I’m really easy going when mistakes like this happen. Even with this mistake, the experience at the restaurant was truly delightful. I would recommend this place to anyone and I’ll definitely be back!

Food is amazing and service is amazing. Can’t believe we didn’t know this place was here for so long, but not going to mourn what didn’t happen, as we’re just happy we know about it now. Will definitely be back a lot.
