Wish they were open for lunch during the week because this place is slammin’. The bread for the sandwiches is always so fresh.

The gumbo! I am so disappointed. There was one tiny blue crab split in half with little, to no crab, two mushy shrimp, tiny pieces of sausage and no okra. The serving was extremely small and feel like I was jerked out of $26!

Consistently delicious. Fried shrimp is cooked PERFECTLY every time.Bread is crusty and soft. Wish they’d bottle the remoulade so I could put it on everything.

Everything here was delicious! We got here just in time for the oyster happy hour (5:30-6:30 pm) so the oysters were half off! We also got these croquette appetizers and they were on the smaller side but man were they delicious! My bf said he can down 10 of them if he had the option to. The oysters were fresh and smooth. We ordered the surf n turf po boy and a small order of creole gumbo. We also received a panna cotta dessert and it was so smooth and rich. Highly recommend this spot!

Believe the hype. Lots of care goes into the authentic NOLA cuisine. Owner John is good people and clearly creates a strong culture with the staff who all care about each customer’s dining experience. It’s a unique restaurant in Brooklyn. To not eat here is missing a part of what makes this borough great. Oh, and the oysters are top notch!

We tried the red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, gumbo, and muffaletta. I'm from New Orleans, and the red beans and rice tasted just like it does at home. The muffaletta was different than what I'm used to but was really good, slightly less oily and had more of a crunch than the original. The gumbo was probably my least favorite, but I would order all the other dishes again. The restaurant is a lot cozier than the outdoor area.

Fried Catfish Po Boy lacked juice and sauces, leaving the bread to be noticeably a bit dry.My friend liked her shrimp po boy and Etoufee, noting that Cajun food sometimes can be too peppery or salty but in this case it was perfect.I had arrived 7 pm on a Wednesday night and there was no wait for my group of 2. We were allowed to stay for 2 hours and received complimentary coffee and chicory flavored pudding cups at the end, which was lovely. I love that they offer diff sizes for almost every dish, which is how my friend got to order 2 dishes and not have any leftover.

This is one of Prospect Heights greatest gems. Authentic Louisiana comfort food and the hospitality to match. Beautiful, cozy atmosphere that can flex fancy or casual. Food is outstanding (notably the Po Boys) and there are always fresh oysters. Owner comes around the counter to greet almost everyone himself. Never had anything less than a phenomenal experience there!
