Food nice. My go-to spot when I'm at work. I normally get ackee and saltfish with dumplings, yam and bananas , stew chicken rice and peas , and don't forget to try their fried chicken. My coworkers get their cornmeal porridge religiously.

This place seems to be going down hill. The food is definitely sub par. Had the jerk pork and the oxtail. The jersey pork was all pork skin and chewy pork and the oxtail flavor is bad. It taste like tomato paste. Yuck! Oh I forgot the mention the sweet Chilli wings. They tasted hard and stale under the sauce. The food really isn't good but they make a good beef patty.

Place is pretty quiet and is a good place to enjoy your meal. Is a hidden gem.But ox tails says is 13$ online but when i walk in the business it was 16$. Not much big of a deal with that since the portion of the food is good and the flavor really amazing.The only thing that i dint quite enjoy.Was the hospitality.They were sort of rude to me.And while taking my order made me feel uncomfortableImagine standing there watching them cater and make sure they got everybody else's order so they just dont stand on the line.And you. Have to wait 10 minutes before taking you order. And as soon other people walk in. They go quick as lighting taking their orders making sure they are alright.I only got 3 sweet platain chips and the cabbage was so little. I barely got to taste it.Because they gave us the left over cabbage and sweet platainAlso i ask the food the eat here. But he anyways pack it to go.so i sat down to eat my food.So where i sit to eat right by the tv there is a camera.Once i sat down to eat my food the camera lighted up the flash in the security cameras flashing right where im sitting eating my foodBut i felt very unwelcome.I come from the caribbean as well im born and raised from my island as well.My companion is white skin. But still was born and raise in the Caribbean english not her first languageBut i definitely felt like i was a white man walking to a black mans bbq. And the face was like who invited this………I liked the food but i dont know i come back since i really felt unwelcome hereAlso is messed up the treatment i got thereNot justify or asking for privilegesBut in my own world i walked 2.1 miles from my house because the guy does not deliver to my area.So i walk there and im tired and just trying order and have some food. And that treatment kind of killed my appetiteIm pretty sure any other man of color wouldn’t have this problem. I believe so.

I ordered from door dash and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food especially for the price… The meat from the stew chicken literally fell off the bone. Juicy, flavorful and big portions.. The coco bread was definitely baked fresh, and Jamaican Patties were perfectly spiced. Keep up the great work Lucky’s, you have a happy new customer.

The service was good. I like the fact I placed my order over the phone and It was ready when I got there.I ordered oat meal and porridge and they both were good. What pairs good with both of them, dumpling right? Well the dumpling was fried perfectly but it's too doughy. Less dough and more flavor would have make this store get 5 stars on the food portion.
