I hosted my birthday dinner in the private room at Misi and had a phenomenal experience! Kate Kolbinsky was an incredible helping setting up the special evening and went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Highly highly recommend!

Food was ok, fresh and simple and well prepared however don’t expect any special taste or complexity. The place has a high end vibe with reasonable prices.

Love Lilia and Misipasta, but Misi didn't quite do it for me. I ordered braised leeks, sheep's milk occhi, and pistachio gelato. The braised leeks were addicting. A combination of gentle heat and vinegar, crunchiness and nutiness from the pistachios, and freshness from the green parsley made me fall in love with this dish. It was easily the highlight of my visit. The occhi was tasty, but too one dimensional. The creaminess of the ricotta is made even richer with the butter sauce, but there wasn't enough lemon peel and bottarga on my plate to make the dish feel balanced. At this point, I was grateful that I still had braised leeks on the side to cut through the richness. I can heartily recommend this dish if you love creamy pasta dishes though. The gelato was somewhat of a disappointment. Sure, the flavors were good, but the texture was off. I suppose too many people were ordering, and as a result, the gelato didn't have enough time to firm up in their machine. The gelato arrived in a half melted state, and even though I hastily finished, there was a decent pool of melted gelato at the bottom of my cup.

I cook better pasta than what I had there. And I do not consider myself a good cook.No idea why it’s so hyped.

The hype and what I'm supposed to think almost got me to 4 stars, but honestly, it's 3. Really nice room, and the service was very pleasant and attentive, but surprisingly amateurish for a place this acclaimed. Unsure on some food descriptions, and I could explain the wines by the glass better than my waiter could. The food - braised butter beans to start, good but nothing inventive or memorable about it. Sheep's milk ricotta occhi...I liked the concept very lightly dressed featuring the pasta, but simply was too plain to the extreme, and served barely room temp. Chitarra with braised lamb was the favorite - nice, developed flavors and satisfying. Overall, too much riding on BK hip than being actually top notch...would eat there again to try perhaps some better dishes, but in no rush to get back.

They only reserve one seat at the bar for solo diners so I had to wait even though there were TONS of open bar seats.. and then I got the worst seat right by the drink station- didn’t love that.. NYC is the home of being able to eat by yourself! Then the food was just so underwhelming. Leeks were tough and overpowered by chili oil, which was the only thing I really tasted. Their “pesto” was mostly oil, butter and salt with some basil leaves and crushed pine nuts sprinkled on top. The pasta itself was nice and delicate but everything was room temperature when it came out. Wine was truly delicious, but small pours. And at the end the bartender made me her version of limoncello- and it was $21 on the bill. Very expensive limoncello haha.. Spent $140 for one person and it was highly unremarkable. Service was lovely though.

Loved the place and the service, but a bit disappointed with the food. Big quantities. The famous starter, the ricotta toast, was really difficult to eat. The mushrooms were hard to chew and the toast a bit burned. The pasta was good and also the cocktails. The environment was pretty cool.

Whipped ricotta was good. Pasta was mediocre at best. Service was terrible, everyone looked like they hated their job.Gelato was the best part of the meal, especially the olive oil gelato.

Their renowned ricotta crostini was okay, and we ordered 3 pastas - all were WAY TOO SALTY except the spinach ravioli. Drinks were just okay too. Only thing we appreciated was their olive oil gelato! Not worth coming here for their pasta all the way from the city but worth a little stop by at their bar for gelatos!

Wish I enjoyed this place more! Great ambience and service, however the food was just so so. The fettuccine was overcooked and bland. The tortelli however was delicious, although small portions and we were still hungry afterwards. The ricotta toast with mushrooms was also good.

♦️Overall review: It's delicious, but it's noisy and the wait is long, so I wouldn't make a reservation again.♦️Waiting: I knew it was very famous and hard to make a reservation, so I had a hard time making a reservation. It was lunchtime on the weekend, so even though I arrived 10 minutes before the reservation time, I had to wait for over 40 minutes, and it took about an hour for me to order. If that's the case, why do I have to make a reservation? There doesn't seem to be a time limit per table, so there's a good chance there will be a wait.♦️Food: I ordered ricotta toast + mushrooms, ravioli, artichoke, and red pasta, and the mushrooms were the best. I use salt very well. And the ravioli smells really good. These two are what I remember the most. The red pasta tastes like red pepper paste, which is familiar to Koreans. I didn't feel it was as spicy and delicious as I thought.♦️Service: Food ordering service is good. If you look at it properly, you will catch it and the server in charge will come. However, the service is poor from the time you enter the restaurant until you are assigned a seat. They just tell you to wait and don't give any explanation, so it's crowded with people waiting at the entrance. I was assigned a seat right next to it, so it was uncomfortable while eating. I wanted a different seat, but they said they didn't know when a seat would become available, so I just ate right next to the entrance. It's been about an hour since I arrived and I'm getting my drink, but I'm already exhausted.♦️I was looking forward to it, so I tried to eat for a long time, but it was noisy and I was tired, so I just wanted to eat quickly and leave. But it tastes good. But it's an experience I don't want to go back to.

Thought the ricotta was ok, the pairing with the mushroom was a really good choice on their part. The pasta dishes were ok, not particularly stand-out memorable
