Waited in front at 11:50am and completely missed the sign on the counter that says opens at 12pm. The people working were busy, but no one acknowledged me and didn't until it was exactly 12pm on the dot. Ordered a chicken katsudon, which was tasty and filling. I wish the flavor was a bit stronger, but still very good, great price and nice presentation!

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the gyudon with washugyu beef that I ordered was borderline inedible due to the ridiculous amount of fat (see photos) that they left on the meat. It was like 80% fat tendrils, it was so disgusting. My wifes chicken katsu curry was good though.

Worse katsu chicken I’ve had. The chicken is so rough and the breaded part falls off the chicken and not crispy as it should be. The food also ready within 3 mins. Pre-made Katsu that’s been sitting there for awhile. Do yourself a favor and skip this spot.

Unsurprisingly, this place is terrible. The only reason I give it two stars instead of one is because it's not completely inedible, and if your goal is to fill up for $13 including tax and tip, this will do it. The rice is mushy but not as bad as I expected and was actually the best part. The katsu curry has a vague curry flavor, most likely from a mix, and loads of salt. The pork was hard and the only flavor it had was from the rancid oil used to fry it. It was also pre-made, and the entire dish was ready in a couple of minutes. No one working here is Japanese, if that's important to you.

I'm disappointed at how the standard for yelp elite has fallen so low. My misplaced trust led me to come here. Clearly these yelp elite users have never had decent Japanese food. This is the same commoditized mediocre katsu they serve in sunrise market.

Literally no flavour except maybe black pepper. Bad food and strangely rude guy at the front.

?️ **Review of Moriya, Industry City** ?I recently visited Moriya at Industry City, excited to indulge in their famed chicken curry. As I walked up to place my order, I asked the worker for the chicken curry and kindly requested an extra potato. The response I received was unexpected and disheartening. The worker's tone and demeanor shifted suddenly, leaving me taken aback. He tersely replied, "NO EXTRA!!!" It felt as though he was denying more than just the extra potato; it seemed like he was denying my basic respect.Confused by his reaction, I asked him to repeat his response. Unfortunately, his second utterance was even harsher, and he followed it up with the price: $13.50. It was as though he was looking down on me, making me feel insignificant and unwelcome. As a CEO who engages with Industry City's leasing team, I am accustomed to respectful interactions. I've always praised Moriya for its delectable food, encouraging others to give it a try. However, the incident I experienced shattered my positive perception. I won't tolerate being treated with disrespect or condescension, regardless of the situation.Attached is a photo of the individual who treated me in this manner. I sincerely hope that he can reflect on his behavior and address any biases that might have influenced his actions. Mutual respect is essential, and no one should ever be made to feel like a third-class citizen. In my role as a published author and CEO, I prioritize treating everyone with respect and dignity. I hope that Moriya can learn from this incident and work towards fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons.*Attached photo of the individual*#RespectMatters #CustomerExperience #InclusivityMatters #IndustryCityDining

Excellent little eatery found within Japanese Village! Ordered their Gyu Don bowl which was very fresh!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick Japanese meal for lunch or dinner! Now off to Sake's Bar just in front of it to meet the wifey! Cheers!

Food came out fast: everything tasted great and the katsu was fried well. It was much cheaper than what I'd normally find in the bay area.

The food came out fast but the pork katsu was hard and soggy. The breading was just falling off of the pork. Overall, it was okay but it doesn’t compare to the curry at other places like Go Go Curry.

Food never fails to disappoint. The katsu is always tough and overcooked.

Generous portions for the price. A few options available for chicken, pork, beef, or plain. There are authentic Japanese curry rice dishes. I recommend the chicken/pork curry over the bowls options.

I got the pork katsu curry ($13) from Japanese Village in Industry City Food Hall. I was craving something warm/hearty on a rainy day. I thought it was a solid pork katsu curry. For $13, it was more on the expensive side for the portion.
