I absolutely loved this place!! The interior was so cute and felt like a great spot to grab a drink. We came here for brunch and got the Bread Basket for the table which was fire with the different spreads/honey butter. For y main, I tried the Eggs Cilbir which was surprisingly very filling. The yogurt flavor was delicious. I do think it could come with more bread though. Overall, really good experience. I'm sure I'll find my way back.

Good food and immaculate environment. Despite being in such a large space (especially relative to most NYC restaurants), Nura creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere environment. Everything on the menu is made with such care and creativity. Would highly recommend for a large group gathering. It's also great for small party dinners.

CHECK YOUR BILL! lots of errors including sliding in gratuity and still requesting a tip on top of that So just pay attention Food tends towards very salty, wine pours are meager at best Space is beautiful but after a couple visits I'm over it ! Just don't like feeling like I can't relax and Have to be attentive to the bill at the end left a bad taste So basically double check your bill!

First time at Nura to celebrate my friend's birthday, it's located at a very nice neighborhood, a spacious, low key, sort of muted, mid-centric space with nice pops of colors. It's open kitchen but the hood wasn't working so well, as soon as we walked in we saw a lot of smoke and smelled burning wood(?), with the sunlight casted through the open roof, it's foggy inside but it was ok. My party had a reservation at 5, we got seated by the bar lounge space with very nice Asian furniture, ordered a few drinks and waited for the full party to arrive. Our server walked over to ask if it was our first time, and suggested that we ordered everything at once, it should be around 8 dishes, we wanted to do appetizers first but he insisted that we ordered everything together, and he'd space out the courses. We ordered most things off the menu because they were tapas and nice for sharing, but everything ended in 3 pieces as we were a table of 4, which was extremely odd. The server was very arrogant and did not seem very attentative, he was somewhere impolite and couldn't explain our courses even though he asked if it was our first time dining there. Dishes came out fine, presentation was nice, tableware were nice, but food was not. We had mussels that were tiny as fingernail, did not taste fresh but very bitter, "fake" scallops that must have been sauteed in meat tenderisers, they were frozen scallops, had a very rubbery texture, very bland; the lamb meatballs were fine; sweet potatoes that were interesting, prawns came in 3's, were nothing special; one small piece of naan that was so very oily that looked like it was dipped in a fryer. It tasted fine but very greasy. We had oysters that were not great either, a lot of the seafood tasted bitter. The drinks were okay, my friend said hers tasted like a fruit punch with no alcohol. I could careless because at the end, we didn't bother. Waiter changed our sharing plates once, every one seemed rude and pushy, we had drinks half full and rolls not quite finished, a lady started collecting our table, and we felt that it was time to go; when we stepped into the lounge we were told that a huge party was coming at 7:15pm and it was 5:22pm and we were trying to enjoy the food and chat and had a few drinks. By 6:30pm a lady cleaned our table and we didn't want dessert anymore and started searching for another place to eat and chat. Nura's got a nice seating space for drinks and an enjoyable time but our time was not and the food looked good in picture only. Most of the food was salty, bitter, not so fresh. Nothing to remember except for the oily naan and decorReally wished we could enjoy our time.

The atmosphere far outclasses the food but with the bar set so high, the food had a long way to go to match the setting.Enjoyed our meal all the same but not moved by the pork belly. The fluke appetizer was, however, top tier.

Food was pretty good (we went for brunch), but some of the service was strange. We ordered coffees, yet no sugar was brought out. The milk was only enough for one coffee. When we asked for sugar later, we were brought one teaspoon of sugar. We asked for more sugar (because a few of us had ordered coffee!), and were again brought one teaspoon. Why so stingy on the milk and sugar?Additionally, they have no high chairs, so we dealt with a wiggly toddler all meal. We were not the only table who asked - other families were there too.Honestly, food was good, but I won’t visit again with better options in the neighborhood.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly - no high chairs and no other assistance for kids

Came here to celebrate a friends promotion, and was treated immaculately from the moment we sat down. The ambience, food and service were excellent. Very cool spot.

The food could’ve been better. I got the American Breakfast and my husband got the Creole style Kerala Curry with poached eggs. American Breakfast: lamb sausage was delicious but the daal tadka was missing flavor. The tadka could’ve had more fragrant spices such as fenugreek, dried chili pepper, mustard seeds etc - it was really bland. While I understand they are catering to a more American audience, they don’t need to compromise flavor. For the curry, most South Indian curries include a tangy/sour component which was missing and could’ve benefited from something like tomato or tamarind. As for the breads - I think a roti or a paratha or naan would’ve been a better option and would’ve absorbed the curry and the daal better - these things are not meant for American type breads.

The place is beautiful and very well decorated. We were there for Saturday morning brunch. I recommend the American breakfast which is well served for the price. The meat and potatoes are well seasoned. The bread basket is a little expensive for what’s inside, especially for a French person :)
