Sometimes in life there are coincidences. I like to call them miracles. My first time staying in Brooklyn as we are returning to our hotel on 4th Ave. I spy a French Flag and I see the name Olivier Bistro and I think to myself, “Self might this be a place for dinner. Returning to our hotel, the Liberty View at 29th St. I got on my phone to investigate the menu. Immediately, I knew this was a real French restaurant and was I right. When you enter, there is a black curtain. Emerging one sees small, plain wooden tables and chairs; simple, elegance. The staff are prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. The food is superb, preparations perfect and timing, one of the ways I assess the excellence of a restaurant, was as accurate as an atomic clock See my photos specific reviews.

Just like Paris! Escargots were perfectly seasoned. Bread: no better in the city. Rob eye steak by the ounce--share 20 ounces with someone (medium rare). A+++

The place was small and cute. The staff was great. The only downside is that they only take American express. They do have an ATM in the restaurant.

Good food. Everything else is fine. Not crazy about the chairs. I think they should give you a cloth napkin. They should give you ketchup when you order a burger w/o having to ask. My grade is a 79.

Drove from eastern PA to have Easter brunch with son who lives in Brooklyn a 15 min walk away, he had recommended it. Nice little place. Interesting menu, good food, gracious folks working there, good wine, cucumber martinis. Call for reservations, it's not that big.Parking: Impart at 200 12th St., not much more than 100 yards from the restaurant.

A simple rustic bistro with a very attentive, friendly staff. The hostess was gracious and the staff were on point with service and suggestions. The escargots were lovely, tender and mild with an exquisite sauce. The choux frites were also very appetizing, with the creative addition of almond slices. The moules-frites marinière, however, were uninspiring - just good enough to be adequate. The frites were truly French, no dispute there - hard to find such authentic French fries. Lastly, for dessert, the tarte-tartin was awful - it really should be removed from the menu. So, would I come here again? Most likely, yes. Overall, it was a decent place with some hit or misses, typical of many places. Also, I have yet to try their boeuf bourguignon...

Nice local French bistro in Park Slope. Feels authentic. A bit cramped but what NYC restaurants are not cramped? Food and service are good. A bit expensive for a local joint.

Excellent little French Bistro neighborhood gem that serves an absolutely delicious brunch. I'm looking forward to going back soon to try the happy hour specials and items off the dinner menu.

The vibe is always on point; the lighting, the music, the service! We are vegetarian so we always get the beyond burger which is served on English muffins which we love. It’s also great for brunch!Vegetarian options: Beyond Burger, risotto, and a curry dish

Their brunch menu is very limited, which was a disappointment. The food was mediocre, eggs Benedict had such a strong smell of vinegar, one would think they boiled it in pure vinegar. Side salad was too sour. Mimosa and Bellini were not good. The overhead heater was periodically blowing hot air straight at our table, which was very unpleasant. Service was good though ? If we had a different table (far from the heater), and did not order eggs, I could be writing a much better review, but it is what it is.
