Updated 2023Was shopping here since the eighties. Definitely not the original owners they must have sold the name and building. Totally new people, pasta counter bare. No longer recommended. Maybe the Staten Island location are the original owners.

I was like a kid in a candy store that I finally was able to go after three years I love love love love their cheese raviolis , the cracked Silucian olives as well as a host of other things. I would like to see a postosa in Bay Ridge even if it was just a small pasta shop.

Went to the pastosa on new utrecht ave in Brooklyn on 12/23to get my cold cuts for Christmas Day I have been going there for so many years . They were for antipasto never had a problem with the order. Well I asked for 1/3 lb for each cold cut sliced very thin plez I got my order paid seemed kind of expensive for what I got but I figured prices are up. I went to roll the cold cuts they were so thick a sliced horribly and they gave me much more then I wanted like almost a pound . So upset with my order never had a problem before . I will be thinking twice before I go back for the holidays.

Hands down the best manicotti I’ve ever had. Light and flavorful. Soo good!!

I know I'm going to get crap for this review but I'm just going to be honest. I'm born and raised in Brooklyn and I come from an Italian descent and I know good pasta, shells, manicotti, and sadly this was the most unexpected disappointment I have ever had with a real old school Italian American place.I really thought their pasta and manicotti were going to be phenomenal but every single thing that I purchased was completely tasteless and I wasn't the only one that said it. My entire family agreed. The manicotti literally had no taste whatsoever, the basil pesto pasta was bland as can be, the cavatelli was completely tasteless and the only thing that even tasted remotely decent was there potato gnocchi.Their sauces however are pretty damn good.Their chicken cutlets went right into the garbage immediately because they were tasteless and dry as can be and their chicken soup was extremely disappointing as well.I don't know what happened to this place but I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.

I can't even say how long my family has been going to Pastosa's! May God still RIP my Pop's who totally lived for the Pastosas' on 86th street off Ave. U yrs back & trust me, he was a stubborn & fussy Italian, lol! Till this day the hubby & I are still regular customers of Pastosa's on New Utrecht Ave. in Bensonhurst. During the pandemic they stayed open when we needed them more than ever & most were closed!! Shopped there today & they still show their appreciation with little acts of kindness! Thank you Pastosa's & kudos to you for your kindness & always being there!
