I’ve had eggrolls, fried calamari and the special spicy pho (which is like a hybrid between bun bo hue and pho). Really delicious! But the standout was the Saigon Pho—a beef extravaganza with a rich, flavorful broth. Probably one of the best I’ve had in Brooklyn. So happy this spot is my new go-to for pho!

PhoBar is one of those spots that I am always shocked out of my mind to find out I have not reviewed until now because I come here all the time. I am a self-proclaimed regular. Favorite chilly, rainy day lunch. Favorite hangover meal. The main reason I keep returning is for the flavorful beef pho broth that is always reliably satisfying. Bahn mis and meat spring rolls go perfectly with the pho. I also love that you can order a set, which comes with half of a bahn mi. The vibes are more modern side than traditional, in a spacious colorful space that never feels too crowded. The service is friendly and accommodating. If you're in the mood for a sweet treat, the Vietnamese coffee is made with Café du Monde coffee and is delish. Note: Cash only. But worth it.

Soup was good but somehow missing a little bit of something. The pork chop was a bit too sweet, but the coffee was nice and strong. One bathroom and its hella spacious and good. Vegetable spring roll was hot and crunchy, with a flavorful filling. I loved the jalapenos and bean sprouts containers it came with, my grandma use the containers for spices like salt and msg and chicken powder. Nostalgic. I did love the combo deals they had it was awesome.

Really solid place for pho and vermicelli salad, but a bit expensive compared to other similar places. The cash only policy is also odd for a sit-down restaurant

Very delicious basic vietnamese cuisine. Fresh summer rolls and rich pho. Can’t ask for more. Cash only.

Unfortunately subpar. We tried multiple items on the menu, including fried spring rolls, lemongrass chicken pho, classic pho, and the Vietnamese Sandwich. Many items had off flavors. The fried spring rolls were chewy, banhmi was made soggy by too much wet carrot, and the interior was cold from a draft at the door. Service was nice enough, but the restaurant is also cash only. We wanted to like Phobar, but are unlikely to return.
