good polish spot with good pierogies ( not borscht. it was not “it”) it was served in a cup and was vinegar-ish.

Made a 2nd trip to Brooklyn during a recent vacation so my wife and daughter could get a charm necklace. Seeing all the signs in some Slavic language, I realized this was a different place in Brooklyn from the waterfront! Double-checked Pierozek was open all-day (it was 2 pm when we ate), walked a few blocks around myself and waited patiently for the necklace-makers and then enjoyed a fantastic lunch of pierogies, kielbasa and accompaniments. And beer, of course. The Murray's Cheese and Meat pierogies were delicious and lighter than you'd think. The kielbasa was fresh, large, and crisped beautifully. The Stuffed Cabbage dish was a big lunch for my wife, but we all cleaned everything off our plates. Maddy was our server and accommodating and delightful. I didn't take any foodporn photos, but their website and IG are accurate representations of the food!

The most lovely couple I know took me here for dinner yesterday. Easily the best pierogis I've ever had- highly recommend the meat (pork) ones- insanely flavorful. We weren't planning on eating so much but we ended up sharing another plate because it was too good. Not only that, but they're affordable. I'll be back soon.

Jakub and his staff are so incredibly welcoming and friendly, we always feel treated like family (being of Polish descent doesn't hurt I guess ;)...). The food is so fresh and always impeccably prepared. Highly recommend to anyone that loves Polish cuisine or wants to try!

As a frequent restaurant explorer, I am always looking to find new places to discover in New York City. So when Pierozek was highly recommended, I couldn't wait to try it. Pierozek is located in a quaint but bustling area in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We went on a Sunday and parking was not an issue. This charming restaurant catches your eye right away from the outside and the ambiance inside is simply decadent. I loved the Polish pride adorned around the restaurant. Unlike other places, their decison to keep their art and passion for their country subtle and classy made me as a non-Polish patron, even more appreciative of the culture. The staff is obviously classicly trained and it is clear the owner has cultivated a culture of placing the customor's experience and satisfaction at the top of the list! We sat outside in a spacious and well decorated area, no dount felt those Brookym brinch vibes. Now the best part-the food, wow what an experience! Living in Queens, I've had pierrogies many times before, all that claimed to be the best, but after my first bite at Pierozek, it was clear that these were special and in a league of their own. Handmade and beautifully presented, each bite was filled with pleasure. What I loved most was that it didn't look or feel greasy as have many others I've tried before. Along with this, I had to have the kielbasa for nostalgia and it was also the best I ever had. There's no wonder why Pierozek has been awarded the Michelle accolades. Also, unlike other prestigious award winning spots, Pierozek does not jack up the prices or lower the portions. The owner and the entire staff should take a Brooklyn bow- Bravo, for being one of New York's finest places to dine. Already planning a trip back with friends and family.
