Fried fish was good, fries were soggy. They need to invest in other containers that don't make fried food soggy! Chopped bbq didn't have enough bbq sauce, was tough. I should have got the ribs! My husband loved his food, he had collard greens, yams and fried chicken. Service was through uber eats so no comment.

My older family members came to NY to visit from Chicago. I went to order 5 Dinner plates for the family that were visiting and 3 more, for myself, partner and my mom. When I return wit food, we all began to eat.
NONE OF US WAS SATISFIED!
POTATO SALAD WAS PRETTY OK.
THE MAC N CHEESE, HORRIBLE!

After waiting approximately 15 minutes, I had to verbally make my presence known although one of the employees just kept packing orders WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING ME! It seems like your only concern is with your online orders. I've been a customer since the 90's when you were located on Halsey St.
Apparently they're getting some kind of deal with the vendor cus the ribs are disgustingly OLD!!!! And inedible

They undercooked my beef ribs they were tough. The potatoe salad did not taste the same as the last time I purchased it. I did not like it. One order was incorrect. The cornbread tasted like it was a day old. The food is like potluck sometimes its good sometimes its not. Some customers were complaining how long it took to get their food. Carole and her husband and their team are definitely missed. They ran a tight ship. Jay seems to have a different time for when the food is ready than his listed hours. His attitude seems to be he doesn't give a dam about his customers.

Ordered the short ribs with sweet potato and collard greens!!!! And that damn good peach cobbler. The dinner as always was insanely delicious. Ribs are cooked to perfection!!! Customer service is always on point with a ☆☆☆☆☆ rating and prices for this home cooked sized portion is fair!!!! I always leave a $5 minimum tip (the friendly service and food are that good!!!).Make sure try everything on the menu. Been going there for years!!!! They're open Wed - Sat til 9pm!
