I came here thinking it was the Whiskey Brooklyn Bar since literally at the entrance it says “Whiskey Annex” and I paid a $10 entrance charge for my wife and I($20 total) Less than 5 minutes later after finding out my friends were actually at the Brooklyn Whiskey Bar and the bar did not connect the bouncer did not give us a refund.

I loved this place I only gave it a 4 out of 5 because I hate the Brooklyn trend of using carafe glasses instead of wine glasses and I wish this trend would die.

This spot was a gem! It wasn't hard to get in (like some spots are). We arrived at around 11-12ish. It was $5 for girls and $10 for guys, really good deal comparatively. Good vibes all around, great music, the DJ played something for everybody. This is a dancing spot, so be ready to get up and have a blast. The drinks were strong, not super fancy curated cocktails like you would find at a speakeasy but still good and got the job done. We came here after dinner, so we didn't really check for food. The drinks and music were excellent! Really enjoyed our time here on a Saturday night.

One of the best bars in Brooklyn! I recently had my 30th birthday party here and I couldn't have been more impressed with The Counting Room. Great ambiance, great music, great food, great staff! If you want to have a killer birthday party, come here! There's also a hidden dance club downstairs which was the perfect ending to an already awesome night! Thank you The Counting Room and Ruth for such a wonderful party!
