Wow, it was less than a month ago that 8 of us came to DPH to celebrate our birthdays but it seems like ages! However, we had an awesome time. The main reason was the young lady who took care of us. She had an amazing energy and attitude that made us feel welcome and important from the second we came in until the time we left. It was a fairly crowded evening (a Saturday) and we were a big group but she kept the drinks flowing. Food was really good. We liked our fried pickles to snack on and the horseradish burger was perfection. I will say it was very juicy and therefore a mess to eat but I didn't mind washing my hands afterwards (of course now I wash my hands 100 times per day) The music was excellent, too. Helped contribute to the great atmosphere of this place. We asked the bearish bartender and he said it was his Spotify playlist, so kudos to that as well. I remember coming to this location back when it was Sheep Station and I liked it then but I really like it better as Douglass Public House and I hope to have the chance to come back here.

I sat with a group of six. We adored the seven piece band, which had the feel of an impromptu performance among fiends rather than a pro group. They performed folk-like takes on classic rock songs and were interactive with the audience. I ordered a bowl of tomato soup and a side of sweet potato fries. The soup was good and the fries came with excellent aioli sauce, but the service was definitely lacking. One friend's nacho order took a really long time to come out, and we ended up having to take them to-go. Another friend requested more aioli and didn't receive it before finishing her fries. I'd recommend it for the fun bar atmosphere before I'd recommend the food. And if you want nachos specifically, head a very short walk down the street to Taqueria El Atoradero instead.

The food and atmosphere here were amazing! The bartender had a 90s / early 2000s playlist playing, and when we asked the name of a remix, she shared the name and artist, then replayed it for us. There is a bar and some tables in the front and what looked like a larger room in the back. The food was so delicious! Would definitely go again if back in the area.

Wonderful place! Easy to find. Tiana was amazing with the lemon drop cocktail and her easy conversation. Will have to return for more events. Thank you so much!

I got to hear a band that plays on Sunday afternoons called the Douglass Stumblers. They sounded AWESOME and I’ll definitely go hear them again soon. Their band is comprised of mandolin, bass, guitar, and an awesome violin player. The bartenders were awesome and the food (I had the burger) was deeeeeelish.

I came to Douglass with a friend on a Tuesday night. There was a small but lively crowd that made the restaurant feel nice and cozy. My friend and I both ordered the Woodsmen burgers (swiss, carmelized onion, and sauteed mushrooms) with fries. As you can see in the picture, the fries were plentiful and quite tasty, they had a nice seasoning on them and were in the nice middle of soggy and crunchy (which for me is perfect). The burger itself was very tasty, cooked beautifully medium rare as I ordered. The only things I feel that could have been improved was toasting the bun a bit more, I ate my burger with only half the bun since it was a lot of bread that wasn't toasted and compressed. The prices were Brooklyn average I would say ($16 for the burger and fries), and though I didn't order any, they had a nice range of drinks that were not expensive. I would definitely return for a cool pub vibe with good food! The appetizer options also looked great and next time I will try some.

Wished I lived around the corner from this place. Wish I lived upstairs from this place. The food is so good! When it's "sweata weatha!", go get you a bowl of their tomato soup and grilled cheese. The prices are reasonable and the drinks hit the spot. This place is cozy vibes

Very solid spot. Came in here to watch a Sunday night football game and though the place wasn't crowded (tends to be a red flag for me), I didn't mind it. Burgers were cooked perfectly, and their fries and sauces were on point. Also was impressed by their beer selection. Perfect spot for good bar food.

This Restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel, and a coworker had suggested it, so we headed there for dinner. We had a new server, so getting drinks took a little bit of time as she wasn't sure what was available. No big deal, I know what it's like to be a new server. The menu was different online than in the restaurant, so I had to change what I initially wanted. We started with the fried pickles. There were only about 10-12 pickles that came with an order. The chips were bigger than Normal fried pickles, so that was ok. They had a nice crust on them and the dipping sauce had a pleasant heat to it. I got a plain Jane burger(not pictured), and added lettuce, cheese and garlic aioli. Both of my coworkers got the big Doug (basically a double cheese burger with all the fixins). We all finished our burgers. Very flavorful and juicy. The fries and onion rings were hot and crispy. I had to get a slice of Juniors cheesecake for dessert, it's my favorite. They only had cheesecake with berries or with chocolate sauce. When I first took a bite, it almost tasted like it was in the fridge and it absorbed the flavor of something that was next to it. It still tasted good, but there was an aftertaste to it. They had a nice beer selection as well. The atmosphere was pretty chill. They played music as well as a movie (both with sound) so it was slightly noisy at times, but it was a bar, so nothing you can't handle.
